Yes it’s almost as if people can be hopelessly wrong about players and should just admit it!

I don’t think I am if we could replace with by spending the money we’ve raised we could do better than him.

We aren’t though likely to do that and end up with an 18 year old loaner or Rose (whose better anyway) but he’s never fit enough to play

My 2 pence on Boddy aswell, even though some people on here think the sun shines from beneath him because they’ve met him once or twice and think they’re mates.

What an absolute train wreck of a job he’s done the last few months, the pitch was a farce, even I could tell it was fucked from watching BBC 1 for 10 mins 2 weeks before he could “have a look”

Fair enough we’re a selling club and need to sell to advance and strengthen then fine, accept an offer early in the window for Hamer or O’Hare for a significant fee instead of sniggering thinking you’re playing hardball with the other CEO laughing at you. Use that fee to bring in a couple of good quality prospects to advance us and the rest can go to Joy. Fine.

Don’t have a fire sale and weaken the team/pull the rug from under your manager less than a week before the window closes because you realised you fucked it early on.

One slight flaw in your plan.

What if that 'significant' offer never came in?

No absolutely not
I know that, you know that but someone can't say so because it shows up the idiosy of his earlier comments on Hyam which inconveniently don't fit with what he is trying to argue now.

They fit perfectly - another poster explained it perfectly

The most I’ll informed post this week and that’s despite some of the dribble that Grendel posts.

Really sad if we are to see Hyam go, a player with his athleticism, no nonsense defending and excellent distribution we have to be looking at 7-10 million for him

More importantly if he goes I don’t know who my new favourite player would be, probably Bidwell

Boddy was literally quoted saying they had knocked back significant bids for all 3 no?

Better Days confirmed we had £5m on the table for Hamer and we know the O Hare saga. The problem is when we have a non league CEO he can’t deal. The guy opposite will always out do him.

Your current argument - that this is a bad deal because we likely won’t replace him - doesn’t really fit with your claim that he was only here because no other Championship team wanted him though, does it?

His wages will be higher no doubt , so it's a possibility but the club still had to say yes
And again, him leaving isn't particularly what I'd have issue with, it's whether we replace him with someone who's an upgrade really, on a permanent contract.

And that seems to be... unlikely doesn't it. Of course I'd love to be pleasantly surprised next week...!

Clearly yes it does as those two points are unrelated

I didn’t think a championship club would want Ben Stevenson or a Premier League Club would want George Thomas - and in the end they didn’t

I heard, from a reliable source, that Viveash has wanted Hyam gone since he came out as Vegan. Viveash loves a saveloy and took it as a personal attack on himself.

Still thoroughly pissed off at all of this.

Hopefully Blackburn do pull out and all our other interest goes to shit before deadline closes so it forces the owner to do theirduty and fund the fucking club.

the only support will be high interest short term funding until January

Well they wanted Thomas and Stevenson enough to hand over hundreds of thousands of pounds to us - that’s ultimately the name of the game for us, and it’s the case again with Hyam.

You repeatedly said that no-one else would want him, that he was out of his depth in the Championship, and was only here because there were no other takers. Either Boddy’s pulled a blinder by getting a seven-figure fee for someone you said would never attract a penny, or your previous comments (deliberately?) overlooked his overall value to the squad.

Or you are trying to point score on a forum. And as ever being ignored by everyone else.
