So Doug (us) are offering £25M and MA only £17M?

Well that’s the sounbyte to cause some trouble down the road

it’s subject to due diligence so that’s the headline figure

I mean there is undoubtedly a lot of, none to subtle, smoke and mirrors in this.
Joy’s hand is all over it. She’s basically found an entity to come in and front a bid for the stadium she’s been after for years.
She’s still acting as if she’s in charge.
Um not sure I heard her on the radio this morning

Do you think Super King’s lawyers are better than Sisu’s. Or are they exactly the same?
I suspect MA might have some decent lawyers.
This should be all over fairly quickly though, hopefully. One way or another.

Yes. If only Doug had took over a few weeks ago and could've been the preferred bidder...

I mentioned previously about SISU silence and fully expected a too little, too late statement of 'oh but we tried really really hard to bid', which today's statement reads like. Obvs didn't expect the sale last night! Was that so CCFC can say 'we're not SISU anymore, no reason not to sell to us'?

All just seems well dodgy.

Yet to see any evidence that this bloke knows anything about the club or is particularly interested in the football side of things.

He knows the managers name is Mark and that we won the last four (which i think all happened since his negotiations started)

All joking aside, tried it mate, genuinely.

I wrote very politely to the (potential) administrator asking, "if it were possible to develop a supporter-led buy out of ACL, what is the path to involving ourselves in the process?". No reply.

I get that he might have thought that I was having a laugh, but at the same time that's an opportunity missed by the person who is supposed to be looking for the best deal for the creditors.

I would have at least expected, "come back with proof of funds and we'll talk".
Is that because it’s not in administration yet? They have very specific guidelines to dispose of assets and probably pre administration, have to act on behalf of the bond holders, if no going concern solution found, administration and then it’s open to bidders and then that could be a viable option subject to fans and funding solution.
Ashley has tried to secure a preferred position pre admin so I am not sure anyone else, including the club, can actually bid until that exclusivity period has passed or goes into formal administration

This is just a ploy to get Ashley to bid for the club isn't it?

Potentially. May add a few million to the asking price.

On the face of it, the sounds coming out of King and Seppala are that we are likely to be in a better position as a club, irrespective of whether we get the ground or not. I remain skeptical that’ll be the case, should Ashley be successful today. However, this bloke has put his neck and credibility on the line to just be the face in another SISU charade, surely? Time will tell I guess.

Did you expect a reply when MA has secured a period of exclusivity?
I'm sure that would prevent the administrator from entering into any dialogue with potential buyers!

My gut is telling me that it’s either that or setting the stage for more JR’s. Or both, set the scene for more JR’s in an effort to strengthen their arm ahead of negotiating to sell the club to MA. Pay us this much and we’ll drop the JR’s.

Dawkins got a reply. It said no but it was a reply.

I suspect it’s proof of funds that would be the issue with taking it seriously.

On the upside, if the sale is real and the debt to SISU/ARVO genuinely is cleared, whatever happens today I think we're in a better position than yesterday.

Different landlord, quite likely, and maybe one who wants to takeover the club ultimately too, but still better than being under Wasps with SISU slowly milking away any profit.

Just mho, obviously.

He literally said joy didn't have the money and it's him doing it.

So more like she literally couldn't regardless of who fronted it.

If King really said no sales in January he's off his trolley. If Gyokeres wants to go, he'll go. Same for O'Hare.
In his defence nobody, but nobody can take over the club, and start their first interview by saying yeah yeah yeah, half the playing squad will be off, can they?

Perhaps the administrator is snowed under by the number of people expressing a desire to buy the Arena.
I'm sure they will get round to saying no eventually.

Hopefully something comes out in the wash today and we have a clearer idea. I have a nasty feeling there will be a delay in the hearing and Ashley’s preferential status extended which would leave us in the dark still.

I wrote well before that was announced as being in place.

Even then, the pending administrator could have replied to that effect without breaking any confidentially.

That’s still quite different from “we can’t pay the HMRC and are close to admin cos we have unsustainable contracts so one of the big three needs to go asap” which seems to be the status quo.
Where has the club said that?

It was for cashflow for HMRC with a payment plan wasn't it?

The club hasn’t, the ITK poster who has been right about everything else and seems to have been told to shut up however.

There’s enough smoke with the Hyam sale, the HMRC thing, BSBs source talking about “Sisu said no more cash”, the talk of us selling O’Hare cheap if they paid up front, to assume we aren’t exactly swimming in it right now.
