Would he have been aware of the details of the Fraser bid?
We all knew Frasers had bid didn't we? Even at the time wasn't it seen as an incredibly long shot that the sale process would be halted to allow King time to get a bid together.

If his plan was to get hold of the arena then I'm not sure the way he's gone about it does much to indicate his competence.

So, reading between the lines we have an owner who bought a team because he thought he’d get a stadium and a stadium owner who bought a stadium because he wanted a team? I must admit I think King has dodged a bullet. Tenancy is actually a decent business model.

I said this at the time and got shouted down. In his first interview he said something about not having their ducks in a row to buy the ground.

I would be interested to hear why you think he has "dodged a bullet"

The first action Frasers did once they owned CBS was to cancel the SISU licence. Being only a licence Frasers can (theoretically) cancel the current agreement any time.

DKs 5 year promotion target is to fit in with the licence term. It will be interesting to see what Frasers do

What choice do they have but to agree an extension. :ROFLMAO:

What possible motive do Frasers have to turf us out of there

It’s been proven time and time again that stadium is a massive white elephant without CCFC there
They could force a sale of CCFC
Which was what they thought when they bid for CBS and thought they would dealing with SISU

Ashley’s an absolute c**t anyway… if you think Doug is stuck in his ways and isn’t afraid to upset the apple cart then I’ve got news for you

Why anyone think he’d be any good for our football club I will never know

I mean he could… But I really don’t think he wants it
My information is he did at the time of buying CBS. Thought he would get the Club at a knock down value

Remember also he paid £8m below King's offer for CBS which I suspect was bottom end of market value and did not include much for CCFC rent

Ashley has much larger financial resources than DK and he did not get that by being charitable or liked

lol, Mike Ashley doesn’t just splash his money about

why do people think that would be the case if he took us over
No one is saying he will but he would be receiving rent from a club he owned.

Think of the worth of that if he could get promoted, which is exactly King's thinking

I'd be very worried tonight if I was Doug.

The writing was on the wall today with that line up.
I said on here before kick off that we will need to score 3 goals to get a point, I never expected to need 4 goals, but I knew that defence would get turned over at every opportunity.

If I can see the blindingly fucking obvious, then wtf can't Lampard, who's supposedly a tactical genius.

If he sticks with Collins, Binks and Dasilva for the next game, then the fans will be running out of patience already.

I'm sure Plymouth will of watched that shit, and they'll be fancying their chances on Thursday, so that now becomes a harder game that it should of been.
should have been

Well that's the question Ive been asking and the standard response seems to be, ignore what he says.
So as I keep repeating ad nauseum, local media interviews are gospel, until they're not!

I think it's pretty obvious that in this case he made a change to save the season but that was best case scenario and the change could still reap the intended benefits longer term for king.

Simply because the CBS is an expensive, loss making entity. Having use of the facilities for rent is not a bad model.
