Dylan Vente is hard op weg om na de EFL Championship te gaan. De deal is bijna rond. Het is een kwestie van tijd, voordat hij gepresenteerd gaat worden door zijn nieuwe club#Coventry #rodajc #vente

We sold Gary Borrowdale for a profit - didn’t make him a success

I didn’t necessarily say Chaplin was a failure totally for us, I said that there was obviously a player there, his confidence dropped and his finishing didn’t work - him moving on was a good decision for all parties - himself included
Moldovan was the one I was thinking of. I think we made quite a bit on him.

As has been said many times there could be a multitude of reasons why he hasn't signed yet. We know he's not short of admirers so by your logic he should have signed for someone else by now if we weren't offering him what he wanted
Exactly, he doesn't need to sign anything, he's here for this season and can go on a fee next season, there's no pressure for him to do anything. If he's decided to run his contract down then the club can't sell him, so he's in a very comfy position at the moment.

I really hope for everyone’s sake Hamer doesn’t run his contract down. It will forever damage his reputation with us. Just look a Teilemens at Leciester … he scored the winner in their FA cup final win but was the boo boy most of last season … there are very few examples of players playing well in the season they run their contract down. Mentally they have left the club, their agents are working on deal options and they struggle to stop that impacting their play on the pitch ….

A new contract or a sale is essential

I don’t think Gus would be like that TBF. Though I think if he’s willing to give us one more season him and us would be better served with a two year deal on decent money and a release clause if we aren’t promoted.

Neither do I but then neither did the leicester fans …

Letting him run his contract down and losing him on a free would be disastrous for the club. If he doesn’t want to sign we have to sell him this summer.
Would it? We've just got 20m for Vik. If it's less than 10 million then it's worth keeping him for a season imo, he's that influential

I’m hearing rumours Vente is off to Bordeaux and they’re waiting to sell a player before they officially announce him.

You might be right but for that to pay off we’d really need to be promoted.

You can't sell him if he doesn't want to go.
He's under a contract, and so is the club. My guess is his agent is pulling a few strings to see what materialises.

Why has the Vente thread descended into Hamer discussions?

I’m hearing rumours Vente is off to Bordeaux and they’re waiting to sell a player before they officially announce him.
Wouldn’t be overly shocking. Feels like the English clubs names might have been used by his agent to move Bordeaux along a bit.

Signed Vipotnik too didn't they, clearly using the low cost, high reward foreign market this summer. A market i really want us to hit. Will keep an eye on them if they get both to see how they get on and if we missed out on anything.
