I'm still a fan of Simms, but Wright has the CF shirt now. Remember that Luton game though, they played as front 2 and terrorised The Hatters, both scored too. Simms then picked up a niggle and Wright got crocked for 4 months 2 weeks later. Still think that would be lethal partnership moving forwards.

A lot of Rudoni s headed goals have been down to Simms dragging players to the near post.

It's not always about what players do on the ball.

Simms first touch is erratic.
He can be a physical handful for defenders.
He reacts well to 2nd ball in the box.
He has pace once he gets into his stride.

He has a lot to offer. He is an old fashioned type of forward, physical and awkward. He is still young.

We need to make him more consistent and aggressive

Simms and Wright are totally different players who can pose the opposition different problems. It is a great example of why you have a squad.

It is interesting how people are all behind Haji Wright after a hat trick (and a brilliant hat trick).
But a lot of fans need reminding they didn't want him near the team today after his performance mid week.

Allen was brilliant too, but I have been reading posts for the last three years that he isn't Championship level. But in a match between two players off contenders he stole the show first half.
Having 1 good game here and there has been the story of our players for years.
To be successful you need to be consistent, that's what we need to see between now and the end of the season.

We've had a great run recently without playing too well, so if we can hit Saturdays level regularly, we could yet win the playoffs.
