He's improving each game. He is starting to use his brain a lot more rather than trying to do step overs all the time. What might have worked in L1 but not in the championship.

He's going to be a great player with the right coaching

EMC had the best xGA (goals and assists) in the small sample size under Robins and there were multiple chances he should’ve done better. He had 1-2 chances similar to his goal yesterday and there was the gilt edge chance at Watford too.

We’re talking about a player who had 30+ goal contributions last year so EMC knows how to score and assist his teammates. Some of the early criticism of him was, again, premature and stupid.

I don’t want to denigrate Robins too much, but EMC is another example where all he needed was a manager to show faith in him. He was never going to get form being in and out of the team and limited to bit part cameos in matches.

Lampard didn’t injure Haji Wright. Get a grip.

Altho it was a step over that led to Rudoni's goal but hey ho...

The quality of this deliveries are quite something tbh ..his stats are decent when you consider he's barely played and will probably only improve .. just needs to get himself on the ball a bit more but some of that will be out of his controlView attachment 40221
Wow all those stats. It’s almost like a science now isn’t it. There must be a lot of people behind the scenes compiling this information

no it's not, 2 completely different tunes
Opening verse sung in a low register, accompanied by slow clapping and lyrics about “down/on the wing” and “make the City sing”. Then the chorus sung wordlessly with the clapping in double time (and this is the main bit people join in with). It’s obviously different melodies but structurally very similar!

Your thinking far too deeply about this!

Should use the old Ruud van Nistelrooy chant and not just cos I’ve had it stuck in my head since he was rumoured to be manager.

When the mumble mumble starts to play
Dance with me, make me sway
Mason-Clarke running down the wing, make the City sing
Tatsu on the wing, Sakamoto on the wing
Our superstar from Peterborough

And I think it’s “Mason-Clarke running down the wing, scoring goals, making city sing” (or makes the city sing)

He didn’t, but it wasn’t helpful that MR couldn’t decide on a formation or what personnel to play. How you get to a position where 3-4 players who performed excellently last season went off the boil is probably down to the manager not having faith in certain players.

That isn’t trying to denigrate MR too much but ultimately he does bear responsibility for a lot of this. I’ll state for the record that I backed him to figure it out eventually.

We haven’t come up with any good new songs for years, they’re either ripped straight from other teams with minimal changes or just very simplistic.
In the case of the new Bobby Thomas and Simms songs, we’re now ripping ourselves off!

We need a crack squad of about ten members that can get decent songs written on here (wait I may not have thought this through) and then turn up to matches (hang on) and start good chants.

We need a competition, something akin to the Voice.
Obviously SBT would be a judge after his illuminating musical musings on this thread.

We’ve been very lazy about Jack Rudoni by giving him the Kasey Palmer one.

It simply could have been Na Na Hey Hey Jack Rudoni. And all you old farts could’ve been standing there fapping over bananarama.

I'm still amazed that some people couldn't see a player in him right from the start. He was very unlucky not to have a few goals earlier in the season, his control and strength were fine and there were plenty of occasions when he linked up really well with teammates. Why expect immediate consistency and brilliance when someone steps up to this league, especially in a team that wasn't yet clicking? Give young players a chance to settle.

Oh was that for Rudoni? I thought it was about Simms!

I’ve said it before, but the fact we don’t have a Message To You Rudy song for Rudoni yet is a DISGRACE

You would think groups on coaches would be able to get decent ones going.
