It’s robins isn’t itTelegraph that initially broke the story say Ryan Mason is in charge until June. Sounds like they're after a manager currently in a role.
The players themselves of course, do have a part to play too. We'll surely see the measure of mercenary by those willing to join this new proposal.Fair play Herrera. Come on England lads, say your bit

I have subscriptions with all the main platforms, Sky, BT, Amazon etcTo be fair players will have no choice, while they have existing contracts with these clubs.
Maybe I'm blinkered to the realities of the modern world, but I find it hard to believe there will be widespread interest in this tournament, and without qualification through sporting merit I can see it having a short shelf life anyhow.
Sorry if already been said but very telling that none of the German clubs involved.
Doesn’t take a genius to realise that the fan-owned aspect has influenced that decision.

Think it would be interesting to hear what someone like Marcus Rashford, a man with evidently a strong social conscience, thinks about this. Players have it within their power to destroy this. A transfer request, a fallout with coaching staff and general heel dragging performances can all force the hand of the employer with the player free to find a club in the domestic league once the contract is honoured or terminated. To be fair players will have no choice, while they have existing contracts with these clubs.

The reason I’ve seen given is that due to their ownership structure (51% fan) they couldn’t have joined without their intention becoming public. Expect them to work on their fans from now on...Sorry if already been said but very telling that none of the German clubs involved.

You can hand in your notice, it's a contract of employment at the end of the day.To be fair players will have no choice, while they have existing contracts with these clubs.

I definitely wouldn't bother with the ESL one
And Real. Means PSG win it by default.Ooohhh, head of UEFA is saying that all Super League players should be banned from all UEFA completions ASAP.
You could see Man City and Chelsea kicked out of this season's Champions League.....shame.
If Amazon pays a few billion for the rights and puts it on Prime Video, you'd have to imagine the games would be wildly popular.
No longer a “big” game if they play each other every weekI think there would be a pretty big global reach for the first year, but surely you'd think the novelty of the same few "big" teams playing each other again and again every year would wear off after a while?
Weirdly if this nonsense doesn’t go through it could eventually be great for football. Never seen such a united front across fans of every team.
Agreed.
I fear that PL/UEFA/FIFA will cave in though with some sort of compromise deal promising these 'elite' clubs even bigger revenue shares, B teams, closed shop competitions or similar.
If there's one thing with Liverpool fans, they certainly don't piss about when it comes to knocking signs and flags up.
Wonder how the fans of the clubs feel about this.
Disgusting and I hope people don't allow this to happen

It's not the actual fans though is it. Its the likes of American, African and Asian fans, that are happy for this to go ahead and they will be the target audience TV wise.
Perhaps - I probably wouldn't have much interest, although then again I didn't before. But the same arguments have been made before every comparable shake-up (the Premier League, the Champions League etc) and we keep flocking back with our BT Sport and Sky subscriptions every time.
Not this time. There should be a completely United front. The clubs go through with it and are kicked out or they back down and shut up.Perhaps - I probably wouldn't have much interest, although then again I didn't before. “Legacy fans” is what we are. They don’t want legacy fans, ie the ones that buy season tickets, make an atmosphere and have a genuine relationship with the club and players, because we also say bollocks to this sort of shit. They just want millions of consumers to sell ads to, and that’s about the size of it.It's not the actual fans though is it. It has nothing to do with traditional fanbases. It’s focused on a global reach and the plastics around the world with fuck all affinity to the clubs.Americans don’t understand football full stop. They also don’t understand fan power.. fans will boycott this. 100%.
