It’s a shame there won’t be more Italians in the ground, it won’t feel like a ‘proper final’, basically an England home game
Yeah unsurprisingly they’re not very happy about it over here. Can’t imagine it going down well if it was the other way around either, it is a major advantage, IMO.

Kind of unavoidable given the situation, but we would definitely be upset if it was the other way.

Without any doubt. I don’t think there’s much that could be done about it unless I’m missing something- it was Platini who had the idea for this format and nobody could have seen covid coming. But its going to be very, very hostile for Italy. Then again if there’s one team that knows how to manage a situation like this it’s Italy.

I’m not sure it’ll bother them too much. There are very few away fans at football here, so it’s not going to be that unusual.

The team is in apparently… “England revert to wing-backs and a back three as they look to become European Champions for the first time.”

England XI:
Pickford
Trippier
Walker
Stones
Maguire
Shaw
Rice
Phillips
Sterling
Mount
Kane

Foden injured? but no Grealish, Sancho, Saka

Couldn't care if we play with 10 left backs if we win, but hope we attack them tonight.. Be gutted if we lose having played on the back foot.
COME ON ENGLAND !!!

Tbh deep down I think I’d take more from it if it was in one country and support was more even. But I’ll take it for what it is for now, which is a terrible set up. It’s not our fault, I guess.

The powers that be could have moved it to a neutral venue but they are more interested in the £££

Playing the long game tonight by the looks of it. Keep it tight and hopefully put them to the sword later on with Grealish/Saka/Foden/Sancho.

I'm not against nullifying their main strength like we did against Germany, but NEED the wingbacks on form tonight or we'll be isolated in attack. Italians are best in this competition so far with their collective press as well, Walkers pace at the insurance policy at the back to tidy up any mistakes makes me feel safer

I agree, I’ve always thought the mark of a great international team is one that wins tournaments overseas. But it is what it is, we didn’t have anything to do with these circumstances, we just have to win so that er can keep becoming a team that can win tournaments overseas 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿

Oh bore off. Germany won the World Cup in Brazil and trounced them. As if they were bothered about the atmosphere

Why would they? Only 3 hosts have ever won the competition on home soil

How many of those games had 10% fans for one of the teams?

Most I would think - in 1996 when it was last here England had a big allocation didn’t they for every game?

It's up there with the argument around Sterling's penalty as the least rational and most ridiculous argument of the last few weeks.
