One of our players of the tournament. However that 5th penalty should’ve been Grealish’s or Pickford’s.

Better ask Gareth why he brought on Sancho and rashford to take pens then made Saka take one. Awful manager

They'll be another kick in the nuts in the next few days as UEFA punish the FA for booing of the Italian anthem and kids breaking through the security barriers. :poop:
The state of Wembley Way is a disgrace. Like a rubbish tip. The cretins that forced their way in tonight and on Wednesday deserved the hiding they got from the folk that bothered to buy a ticket.

I saw that, they got the crap kicked out of them- made no sense at all until it transpired they were the people who bust their way in

It was an error. Was Mancini’s decision to bring on Belotti equally as bad? For what it’s worth we did well to even get to that point. They should’ve beaten us in 90 minutes.

Security were pretty useless but they shouldn’t have to deal with scumbags like that.

We weren’t awful. They were just better than us tonight. Southgate and Holland have my backing. I’m more than happy to spend my hard earned watching their team and style of play. From where we were in Brazil and France to what we’ve seen in Russia, Portugal and this tournament along with everything else in between I think they’re doing a good job.

Yeah we were much improved this tournament compared to the World Cup… no wait the exact same thing happened

I bet most on here will be happy with it. Already seen ‘so proud’ on social media so many times. Proud of failure it’s pathetic

He volunteered like his manager did 25 years ago. The more seasoned Rashford however really should have known better

Very good point. The hiding he got was unfair. He had the balls to stand up and take one. Ince should’ve taken that kick.

We got to the Euros final for the first time ever. I’m not sure what your point is.

Will never have a better chance, that's not to say we can't ever win tournaments in the future but it's going to take a special team

At the World Cup against Croatia we took an early lead and attempted to defend it. It backfired. For some reason the 🤡 tried to do the same again today. No surprise at the outcome.

For as well as Phillips and Rice did this tournament, they aren't elite level and aren't good enough on the ball.

Barella, jorginho and veratti dominated them.

Need to transition Bellingham into the first team and find a midfield partner for him, hopefully a player or two coming through the u21s.

We have been punished enough by having to suffer with Southgate in charge
How many games that you’ve “suffered” have you bothered to turn up to watch? Genuine question. You could be there every time for all I know.

He’s a special talent. Biggest task with him is working out where he plays. He likes to wear number 22 as he can play as a 4, 8 or 10.

I think he has to play him in central midfield, we have to get out the mentality of pushing our talented players higher up the pitch.

We need players who can handle the ball with skill and composure in our own half, instead of going with two work horses who do the 'dirty work' and end up chasing Italian shadows for 120 minutes

I think Bellingham and Mount could potentially make a good midfield two and both have the work rate and intelligence to do the defensive work, and then it frees another attacking position for a grealish or sancho who probably offer a bit more than Mount in those positions.

What‘s him liking to wear a particular shirt number got to do with whereabouts he can play?
If you add those numbers up you get 22.

I’d like to see Rice and Mount play there together. Their relationship and how well they know each other could be very useful.

Already looking forward to the world Cup next year now.

Maguire, Kane, Stones, Shaw, Sterling, Grealish in there prime.

Foden, Sancho, Saka and Bellingham another 18 months development.

Alexander-arnold to come in at right back. Greenwood to breakthrough into the squad depending on how next season goes for him

Gutted. A test of tenacity for us all - without sounding dramatic it’s very hard to pick yourself up by the bootstraps after something like that.

A mixture of emotions - so so proud if this young young team for getting this far and breaking historical barriers to get to a European cup final.

And then - it’s the hope that kills you. Somehow I’ve now got to work. I know it’s different this time but…it still tastes like failure. It’s still ifs and buts and almosts. And now there’s expectation again on the team. The weight of a nation starved of success and theirexpectations.

Also, @Boosh you’re a fucking c**t mate, would love to get on the phone with you to see if there’s actually any brain cells behind your stood facade

One of the things that peed me off with Southgate last night was his refusal to take Mount off earlier, who was pretty ineffective all night. Should have brought Grealish on much sooner.

Should of brought a lo of players on earlier

Maybe, but Kane started off brilliantly and Sterling was starting to get into the game as it wore on. Mount was bang average at best all night long.

They were our three attacking players

Sterling was poor. Would still have been a big call to take him off however.

Having slept on it, who ever made the decision to bring two players with a minute to go on and take a pen, plus letting a 19 year old step up last, should take most of the blame for last night.

Statistically Italy were the better team, so can’t really argue with the result, just really gutted as don’t know if we will get another chance like that again???

its no suprise psg/inter/chelsea international cms are better than west ham/leeds cm. no matter what country they play for. saka should never been allowed to take that kick. sterling, grealish etc no balls when it comes to it. no testies at all. rinse an repeat.
