So where are we? Another rental agreement disagreement?

Sounds from what the club are saying that Ashley is trying to fuck them. What say you @GIMOC ? Doesn’t sound like a formality to me, six month term alone sounds dodgy before you get to any change in terms.

Whole thing just a sh*t show. None of this comes as a surprise. PR statements after court hearing the usual flannel. Ashley not going to worry about harming club short-term if he gets what he wants in the end.
Now waiting for a statement from King about his intentions. Any sense and he'll just jack it in.

Here are a few factors that I feel need to be considered.

I was aware that Ashley was in for the club. SISU want top dollar and the club isn't worth what they want. Someone comes from out of nowhere to buy the club and the stadium, gets the club, but not the stadium. A master cock up by SISU in an effort to get the stadium cheap and push up the value of CCFC.

We all know that Ashley is a tough negotiator as are SISU. They thought they were being smart but have fisted themselves. Ashley now has the upper hand. I still understand that he wants the club and feels that SISU are taking the piss. The new owner no longer has time and I do not believe the funds to build a new stadium. So I ask who is the only person that would be prepared to buy the club now? A certain Mike Ashley.

It is also my understanding that he wants to build a hotel on car park C.

So now the question of if Mike Ashley is serious about kicking us out, what the hell can he do with a stadium? I think precisely nothing. He would need planning permission to demolish it and to be fair, I don't think that you could do much with the building. I can't see the council giving him any planning permission to do anything, regardless of what twats they have been over this whole mess.

This business deal is a chess game and the check mate will come soon, the gas has been turned up on SISU, let's see what they do next, because they do want out.

PS I still believe Hamer has gone. Hopefully I'm wrong on that one.
[/QUOTE

The only bit I don’t agree with is planning permission, the cunts at the Council will bend over and let him butt fuck them if it screws the Club in any way so much shit going on behind closed doors and unminuted meetings. Rotten to the ficking core

i was told this morning that an agreement should be made this week. Ticket office were told BAU and it was ashley pushing sisu to sign the new contact. For me the statement from Cov is a PR stunt to keep fans onside. Hopefully they sign the contract to keep us going for the short term at least. Then let’s see what unravels in terms of ownership of us

Well see I guess. They’ve got us over a barrel so we’ll have to sign. If it’s until the end of the season then IMO that’s a fucking. Should be the same terms santje original deal or GTFO frankly.

Wonder if any team has ever sold their 3 best players in January?

Over to you SISU.
Yep. It won't be their fault though, that will be the line. Hands will be tied etc.

Heard it all before. Always someone else's fault. That Doug King thing was an absolute farce!

They'll blame Ashley's increased rent. Pocket as much transfer money as possible, asset strip, then sell to Ashley in May

Never in the history of English football have so many supporters been so royally fucked over by so many crooks, financial misfits, hedge funds, scamsters, pranksters, elected City officials and numerous other utter dubious money seeking cretins!
Whichever path this takes it will yet again be the ordinary man on the street who is expected to somehow take it in his stride, trot along wherever they are told to head for, pay whatever it takes, absorb the humiliation from so called fellow football supporters, keep calm and carry on.

I think everyone can be sure this a ploy to get the club on the cheap.........But what happens in the meantime ? If it doesn't all happen very quickly we will surely lose an excellent manager and all of our better players. So then will this fat uncaring prick in a long line of uncaring pricks expect the fanbase to just pick back up and fill his Arena in whichever League that might be. SISU are wankers, if they try and hold out then it's going to be disastrous.

There is literally no option but to sign the new agreement. We dont know how unfavourable the terms are.. really might just be matter of ££...cant see it being anywhere near £1M.

The sticking points maybe be agreements over club shops/pitch maintenance/groundsman etc.

We are just guessing literally no meat on the bones of the statements from club.

Only just found out about this. Just to answer a couple of points i found this on a solicitors website

What is a Lease?

A lease is a contractual arrangement where a tenant agrees to pay rent to a landlord for exclusive occupation of a property for a fixed term.

A key feature of leases is that tenants benefit from the right to possession of the property, to the exclusion of all others including the landlord during the fixed term. This is the major difference to licences where tenants do not receive ‘exclusive possession’ and landlords may enter the property on reasonable notice.

Leases also create a legal interest in the property which means any sale of the property, during the term is subject to the tenant’s lease. Leases are not revocable (limited exceptions) but can be transferred by the landlord or tenant to another party.

What is a Licence?

A licence is where the landlord grants a tenant permission to use the property or land for a specific purpose. A licence may be for a fixed term or ongoing.

Unlike a lease, a licence does not grant the tenant ‘exclusive possession’ of the property. A licence is merely a right to occupy. Leases provide the tenant with more flexibility in terms of their enjoyment of land and any alterations which they may wish to make. Furthermore, licences do not create a legal interest in the land and cannot be assigned to another party.

However, for some landlords and tenants a licences characteristics are beneficial. Licences provide a high degree of flexibility and simplicity. Most licences give both the landlord and tenant the right to terminate the agreement at short notice and have less onerous conditions.

Questions
did SISU see an opportunity to twist an arm?
did the club need the existing licence to be able to claim the pitch money back - currently an unsecured creditor and won't get a penny?
Has Frasers group transferred the head lease to another company - a licence apparently cannot be transferred?
Are Frasers Group setting the scene for future engagement with the clubs owners - ie dont mess with us?
Is this a move to acquire the club by distressing it?
is it simply hard nosed business and the cost of the licence goes up May 2023 and SISU now on notice thats the case?

I am frankly gobsmacked by the amount of crap that has been thrown our way this season. one thing after another over and over. No other team has had to deal with the troubles we have had for years and still no end to it

Just been on Midlands News Fraser group saying it offered ccfc a licence which mirrored the existing deal until the end of the season but club chose not to sign it, there’s a lot to come out yet. Perhaps questions need to be asked to Dave Boddy or Tim Fisher about what was said on Midlands ITN news.

I’ll worry when we are told we can’t play Swansea at the CBS on the 17th.

Wimbledon FC .

Nah, as shitty as that was it ended up with the fake team in a decent stadium with security and the real team close to its fans and in its own stadium. A mate is an AFC fan and is very happy.

This shit seemingly has no end. AFC were only founded five years before Sisu took us over. At least they’ve been able to move on.

Out of interest, why would we have that and not a lease?

Because we were over a barrel when negotiating maybe, and it suited Wasps to offer a deal they could easily break?

Or alternatively because SISU wanted an agreement they could easily break, either to keep some pressure on Wasps or to be able to move to Stadium Nowhere (tm) at a point that suited them in the future?

Fucked if I know, in truth, but once again it looks like the dickheads in charge of the club and the dickheads in charge of the council have let a transfer go through without any concern about where the club ends up.

Unremittingly bleak news, just as we thought all of this bollocks was over for a while.

I suppose one thing has changed from the previous over exclusive use.
There was always provision for another user being the rugby club in the old one.
By definition that no longer was the case .
So Flannels would want something new to cover for potential other functions every other Saturday?

we're not going to get evicted, both sides lose out then

it's just a tactic to try and make us pay more rent

There were preconditions set by the Council before the sale to WASPs - they should still be enforced
There were no preconditions when the Council sold to Wasps, that's why we ended up in Brum.

It was just a load of bullshit and hot air so that the lying, incompetent, fuckers running the council could pretend that they were protecting the club when they voted it through.

The idea that the Council ever put the club first was bullshit then, and it's bullshit now. It would be good if more people could see this.

Maybe we didn't sign as such a short term deal would not be acceptable to the EFL. They have previously required a long term deal to ensure our continued place in the league.

A few weeks ago the Fraser group were granted Preferred bidder status by the administrators doing the ACL admin.Don’t exactly how admin works others on here might, but I think part of being granted preferred status would have been the Fraser groups plans going forward. I’d think part of those plans would have included future plans for current tenants such as ccfc, the casino, are there others there not sure. Lots to come out yet.
