Why? We've done this before too. Underrating large foreign teams because its not prem. Its better than playing for fucking Wolves or Fulham! Much like Vik to Sporting.

Wasn't so much the size of the team, more the location. Definitely not saying playing mid-table premier league is preferable but there are certainly other leagues around Europe that I think would be preferable if he harbours a desire to break into the Dutch squad (and some equally big teams).

I'm so starved of football that I watched the Steve Evans interview about Kelly's signing, and he said that he'd spoken to Mark Robins who said that he didn't think Evans would get him as Kelly had some serious offers. So despite the squeaky Robins comment, the two do seem to be on speaking terms at least.
If memory serves, he didn't take the comment very well, and was irked by us chanting about it afterwards

When did we last play Gillingham or Stevenage? I seem to remember him giving Robins a lot of praise in the last couple years. I think they made up quite quickly

It was something said in the heat of the moment. I doubt Robins is so precious that he’d be offended by being called squeaky.

It was when he was managing Mansfield, I believe. Drew 1-1. I remember it as it was the first ever game I missed kickoff!

Robbie Keane left Macabbi Tel Aviv after winning the league - somewhere lined up?

I thought he did ok in the Championship, can't remember many howlers. I think he left as much because of a personality clash as anything else.
Im pretty sure it was a confidence issue, as he wasnt quite the casual unfasable keeper he was before the head injury, he stopped coming for crosses etc, was more hesitant which is to be expected, really happy for him that he’s built it all back up and will hopefully get back to the second tier as he’s a nice bloke

I didn't know about that. But yeh I thought he'd be fine in the Championship, I wasn't worried about him. I did wonder if getting his head caved in might have affected him.

All gone very quiet on the Vik front. Have Sporting priced him out?

Euros. Everyone who might be interested is now glued to the Euros to see how their other targets get on. Arsenal have been tracking Sesko who, even if he ends up top scorer, is probably going to be cheaper than Vik.

Sesko signed a new contract and is staying at RB
