Most his shots were on his weak foot I'd have expected him to do a bit better.. but as you say , every chance we had came through him pretty much
Yea, he made some great runs, and his movement was excellent. Palmer and Hamer looked to pick him out, but that may be because they are more used to playing with him and new where he'd be.

I thought the back 3 looked quite good considering they only just met, Palmer and Hamer were different class, Sakomoto could be a handful if played further forward, Sheaf grew into the game and took his goal well. Desilva got forward well and looked quite good, Simms wasn't at his best and Collins was very suspect at times.

No injuries was a good result.
I said yesterday that we don't look ready for the big kick off next weekend, and I stand by that.

We look like we'd benefit from a couple more weeks and another friendly against top class opponents.

Got an appointment no doubt

evo seems like he needs a hand job to relieve this tension
Everyone likes to talk about how I rate godden , but nobody ever comes up with a solid argument as to why they think he's shit whilst the manager clearly rates him .. you aren't just disagreeing with me are you , its the manager who consistently picks him too

I thought Simms just looked like he needs minutes, and that seemed validated by him playing the full match. His positional play and instincts seemed sharp, but it felt like he was just slow to get moving and his short passes not quite dialled in.

I didn’t realise before seeing him in the flesh just how big he is, I think he’ll be a much more physical presence than anyone else in the team - maybe we’ll even score from the occasional corner.

Im not worried about him. I’m too busy being worried about the new keeper and the angle of the checkerboard on the away kit.

Robins ofcourse would like better , but don't make out Robins doesnt rate matty highly , because he's always on the teamsheet and being praised even when our fans are saying he's played shit
No fair comment he does like him, hope he bangs them in and shuts me up

godden is a player that divides opinion on his role, I see your point of view but sometimes for me he Doesn’t do enough

You have to agree that there were times in games back end of last year where he completely wasn't involved at all.

If the rumours around us wanting knew forwards are true, like you said it seems that Robins thinks he can do better.

He's the only player I can remember with such a good goal to minute ratio that gets talked about like he's wank all the time , literally scored the goals to fire us up etc .. whilst our fans literally fell over themselves to wank off some terrible strikers over the years

Every team wants to improve and you don't finish 5th carrying passengers .. our form with him in the side was excellent

Golden played well and he attempted the most eeforts on goal including 2 great stops from there keeper.
Thought Gus coming on made the world of difference also Palmer good on the ball today backed up by sheaf.
We need Wilson back as Collins distribution wise was rubbish.

I understand , and I reiterate , the manager kept picking him whilst you lot on here said he wasn't good enough , the manager that took us to Wembley.. I'd suggest it's half this forum that knows nothing .. let's be honest that's hardly breaking news either

Collins distribution in the previous games was very good

To be fair in those games who were we going to play over him? Maguire? Wilson-Esbrand?

Walker , the box .. even at Wembley we looked better once godden came on

Point is Robins kept playing him when he didn't have too .. why ? Because we were doing well with him in the team

Have these arguments every year , it's sad ... we've sad fans .. sad sad fans

Deserve the nathan delfonesio days

We as supporters should be more respectful of the players that have given us so much

Why are we criticising players before the seasons even started? None literally none of our players are half fit let alone fully fit, of course they ain’t going to be going balls out.

would you run a marathon without weeks if not months of training?

I honestly think Godden is a great player
He's done us well , been worth the fee paid , scored the goals to get us up , always works hard and helps the team in roles that he might not want to play ..

Can't complain

Oh and his kid support city too 😂

Robins says another 3 and then take stock of what else is needed.

Sounds like 3 permenants and then a question over whether we need to use our loans.
