The town itself was unmemorable, to the point where the only bit I actually remember is sitting in KwikFit waiting room reading the Daily Mail report of the previous night's game between Forest and Man U (1-1, if memory serves me right). That's how dreary the town must have been. How do you remember it then????
No Stratford Town either. Lost 1-4 to Scarborough last week.Boro or Leamington still in it?

David Phillips and Stuart Pearce both playing for Forest that night. The town itself was unmemorable, to the point where the only bit I actually remember is sitting in KwikFit waiting room reading the Daily Mail report of the previous night's game between Forest and Man U (1-1, if memory serves me right). I seem to remember reading that Kanchelskis scored for United....they played in their famous black away kit, I think.David Phillips and Stuart Pearce both playing for Forest that night.
if my memory serves me correctly, the crowd was 22,072. Could have been 22,073 - it was a long time ago.I seem to remember reading that Kanchelskis scored for United....they played in their famous black away kit, I think.
If so that was crap, that was their first home game after they had just been promoted back to the PL as Div 1 champions, playing the double winners from the previous season with a host of internationals in their team!if my memory serves me correctly, the crowd was 22,072. Could have been 22,073 - it was a long time ago.
correct me if i'm wrong, but wasn't one of the reasons for the poor attendence that night because of the proposed redevelopment of the Trent End stand in readiness for Euro 96? Only a guess of course.
