Have visited the family zone every home game this season and can confirm that the atmosphere there is always fun and friendly. Whilst my son loved getting a selfie with Maddison I had the pleasure and honour of shaking hands with willie Carr. Son loves taking me on at subbuteo and tries the keepy uppies. Just waiting to get lucky and see the warm up pitch side.
As for the family stand I am surprised at number of adults without kids and some drunk fans. Must admit on Saturday we had less around us and I was pleased but it seems they moved elsewhere in the same stand

What's the family stand then?
I'm pretty sure the op was talking about the JSB area/ family zone
I think he meant the area in the stands where the JSBs sit, rather than the bit the volunteers put on the concourse.
All the same really isn't it? Aren't the volunteers based directly below the JSB seating area.
Can I just ask Malaka, when you refer to the 'family zone', do you mean where the pre match events take place, or the specific location for seated JSB's / families etc? PM'd you too in case you don't want to post specifics on on here
Really sorryjust to get the facts straight we are talking about the family stand and not the family zone. we have not had any trouble in the FZ and have stewards nearby and make sure children are not on their own.The club has told us that there was incidents in the family stand of bad behaviour by some adults on saturday. The family zone is not happy with the title of this thread as it is not us.
Not really, because nobody was Fing and Blinding around the kids in the bit where the volunteers were before the game. It was in the stand when the game was on.
Yea but above in the seating or below in the concourse, its still all the family zone. How can it be family stand when its only about 2 or 3 blocks.
Chances are if you use the area put on by volunteers then you sit in the family zone as well anyway though so would encounter it anyway. Why would people be swearing and shouting in the concourse anyway? It seemed obvious to me this particular complaint was about language used during the match. As for the complaint about people getting drunk, I've never been to the volunteers area but I'm guessing there is a bar within fairly close proximity to it.Its a different thing isn't it if it happens during the game in the stand, or before the game where the volunteers and loads of kids are?
Needed to be pointed out it wasn't in the bit before the game as it might put people off going or blacken what the volunteers do there, which is great!

So just to clarify if I buy tickets in the Family Zone do I just get access to the area put on by the volunteers before the match or does the family zone tickets include the seating area?
Clearly people have taken offence, so I'll just leave it now.
Is it making it clearer though?
Is the family zone still on tomorrow with it being a school night? My daughter is still to collect her free gift as we need to bring the voucher.
When I was a young kid, I used to love hearing all the shouting (and swearing) in the stands. I don't think it will really do kids any harm in the long run, prefer that to the horrible sanitised 'entertainment' experience that the likes of Wasps try to peddle.
depends on upbringing really, a few hours with swearing aint gonna turn a kid into a prick, but if the same goes ona t home then yeah they may become dreggs of society
still in future as a father(god willing) i think i would sit away from big screen corner, maybe the family stand i dunno.
