Im really enjoying playing the game so far this year, its challenging and fun. I feel that sense of reward when an attacking move results in a goal or a good tackle prevents one rather than cheesing a stupid goal or conceding absolute bollocks.
Im currently using a 352 and it actually plays as that in game rather than previous fifas where my wingers are up front and my strikers are at the corner flags.
Very encouraging so far I’d say as a casual player, a lot of the more ‘pro’ players I’ve seen have said they like it this year and others have said they dont. I consider myself in the I like it catagory

Career modes could be interesting once they implement the feature that allows you to play from a certain point of a teams real season.
See how you get on versus the actual team and their army of 43 coaches
That would be good.

I've not played Career Mode yet, my challenge is on Ultimate Team.

At the minute everyone's team is relatively beatable, once the multiple OP ToTW, Hereos and Icons are more widespread, I might change tack!

Really enjoying Career Mode this year, especially with the new 'simulation' mode that makes the game feel more like real life.

The faces the new AI system comes up with for youth players (which EA said are supposed to age but they never do, so they look like it into their 30's) however are hilarious.

I mean so do I at the moment waiting for the new start season from real life time in order to venture into career mode.
I’ll say one thing though I have Vik and Isak up front and they feel like cheat codes
My teams pretty good tbh , packed Sophia smith first day , got 11 wins this weekend and gave 1 away .
In division 2 but only getting my wins and then i stop playing

I got the game last week, chilling in Div 7 as thats where I was placed based on performance last year (pretty much in div 6 won every game I’ve played so far)
Last year played mainly Div 2 and made it up to Div 1 but hated how ‘sweaty’ it was.
This year Im actually happy to just sit down and play Squad battles or Rush or Friendlies.
Not qualified for Champs so will have to wait and see if Im still loving the game when I get to it (probably not but thats normal anyways).
But this is the first time in a long time probably since Fifa 20 that I’ve been happy to just sit down and play some fifa

Probably a minor issue, but a slight irritant is how many different nationals are in youth set ups regardless of team.

Our academy, for example, will be scouted from mainly local teams from the local area.

I doubt an academy like Coventry City will have a large proportion of non-English players.

Yeah I noticed that.
Youth academies are just pretty broken in general at the moment as you can't even get goalkeepers with higher than 10 diving...
And all the new countries they added this year you can scout in just use one surname.

EA clearly didn't even bother testing these things

Quick update on me playing as Coventry City on Ultimate Team, four from four so far tonight, think it's 10 wins, two draws, four defeats.

Despite focusing my evos on Sheaf, Wright, and Mve, I'm digging EMC tonight.

My team so far (won despite MvE getting sent off in the 10th minute, was a yellow max);

I don't know if it's just happening for me but I've noticed fairly often that some players at times will just not slide tackle at all, you press the button and there's no response. Don't get it.

There's no specific players but I do notice it when the ball is in midfield, slide button does nothing but switch to another player and then it does. I'm not seeing it on the bug forum so I'm not sure what it is

Good team, that.

TotS Gyokeres the other FIFA was an absolutely menace, good to see his regular card is so highly rated, what's he like?
He’s very very good, turns and dribbles so nicely, shoot on any foot. He has Powershot playstyle which makes his powershots better. He’s very quick and strong so easy to beat a man with especially with his dribbling

Yeah, looked it from the card. Sae he's only 3k coins too.

Would be tempted but sticking with playing as Coventry City for now.

Now 13 wins, two draws, four defeats. Think I am underperforming too!

Perhaps you can make a Cov past and present side, very possible with the likes of Joe Cole, Robbie Keane, Gyokeres, Maddison, Maatsen, Wilson etc. just the issue is keeper

I'm enjoying it this year but Rush is so frustrating. Especially when some Evos require you to complete rush games. Too many dickheads just not playing to farm points.

When it's the full 4v4 of good players it can be great fun but only takes one nob to tank a game. Need to fix it so you can collectively boot some one out or something

Definitely, especially when someone just needs games played, so they stay in but keep their controller off.

Me and a few of my mates were playing Ultimate Team Rush tonight to complete some of our evos. Think I was fucking my mates off playing as BTA missing eighteen chances a game.

When we had four of us, we just helped each other out with what we needed (assists/goals/wins). Not amazing fun, especially when people quit out, but was productive.
