But we only have one more year of the deal that took us back. Wasps said they won't talk while the legal crap continues. And how do you know that the same deal will be on the table? I would guess that Wasps would want much more. What would it realistically cost to play somewhere else?
Thinking of timing here and the current whirlwind PR etc. (for next season).
I can't see them getting a cheaper deal overall anywhere than what it costs at the Ricoh.
If it were possible to reduce outgoings by say £200K, which I doubt, that may assist in maintaining a Cat 3 or 2 academy?
What deal have we got after next season? Do you think that the legal crap will be finished in time to sort one out? If there were talks would Wasps offer a good enough contract? Do Wasps even want us there? So I repeat, what do they hope to gain after moving?
Last time, they took the hit because they hoped to gain something at the end of it. What, this time, would they hope to gain?
So the Butts thing is all a lie?Even fisher admitted we won't be moving.
Not happening.
What don't you understand? I don't believe SISU would choose to move the club out of the city a 2nd time as any reason for them doing that would involve them significantly investing in something or alternatively chucking money away. That's something I don't think is ever going to happen given the sums required to do that, especially given the chances they've already spurned with the Ricoh would have cost much less. They only moved us the first time to try and get the Ricoh and that's off the table now. So if we do end up moving, it will be because Wasps are refusing to talk still/holding a division 4 club to rent ransom or that CRFC also refuse to do business with SISU. I didn't see his requests for mediation as anything other than a token gesture to show the FL they tried but everyone was against them.what ||||||||||||

Are you sure that Wasps will start talks?
Are you sure that the Butts will happen?
Do you believe what Fisher says?
So what do we gain by moving? Do we gain a deal? Do we gain co-operation from CCC? Why would you move the club, ahead of other options? What deal have we got after next season? Do you think that the legal crap will be finished in time to sort one out? If there were talks would Wasps offer a good enough contract? Do Wasps even want us there?
Does Fisher have plans on directing us to JR3?
Take your pick.
Which would take us out of Coventry again?I didn't see his requests for mediation as anything other than a token gesture to show the FL they tried but everyone was against them.
We don't have many options. And none are looking promising ATM.So what do we gain by moving? Do we gain a deal? Do we gain co-operation from CCC? Why would you move the club, ahead of other options?

There's already a possibility of a stadium at the NEC for Birmingham City as part of the Commonwealth Games bid. It would be heavily subsidised but the sticking point is Birmingham City putting their share in. If two clubs were to go in together would it be more viable? Can see the logic with the rail and road links, but there is no guarantee people would travel (even if it is 9 miles) to justify someone being daft enough to put money into building a new stadium by the NEC. Only plus would be its the "package" to be sold on...though i'll be the NEC would have something to say. Taking possible non-footy events away from the Arena???
You would only move the club if doing so gained you something. We don't have many options. And none are looking promising ATM.
Yep, think the impending relegation has got them in a real panic and that they are trying to cover their arse with the FL in case Wasps really do hold out with the silent treatment and force them out. Wouldn't be the first time Fisher and SISU have horribly misjudged a situation.Which would take us out of Coventry again?
There isn't a ground share agreement between the two at the minute that's half the problemThe ground is shared with the rugby club who have resorted to blocking off turnstiles and catering as they are in dispute with the football club. Dont think it would work to be fair.

Don't think the NEC would have an issue. They can't host concerts of that size and I would expect them to get the management contract for events there so it would actually add to their facilities and pretty much sink the Ricoh for concerts.
he may not be thick ,but he sure is stupid.Hada bit of a bad thought what he might have planned for us.
So the mediation is a list of things he wants and everyone else involved are supposed to join in with the mediation. I can't see it getting us anywhere even if it does happen. Our contract to play at the Ricoh has one more season to go. And Wasps are refusing to talk until the legal action stops.
We are about to become a Division 4 side. Gates will be well down. But so will the player budget. It sounds like our budget will be about 8th highest in Division 4. So in other words not very high. So financially SISU will be OK.
Now the bad part. Nothing happens with the Butts. Kicked out of the Ricoh. Fisher goes to the FL to move us out of Coventry. The FL would probably agree with the move. And our budget would be so low that Fisher would expect about 3k of us again to travel to 'home' games. But what Fisher doesn't understand is there would be many less turning up this time.
Fisher isn't thick. But he certainly doesn't know what makes a football supporter tick.
I thought there was no connection between sisu and ccfc.Nice to see a thread about our chairman without seeing 'Timmy' or 'fish face' mentioned. I dislike the guy as much as the next man but when you resort to infantile name calling your point is hugely diminished.
I think what will happen is out of his hands, every major decision will surely have to be run past Seppalla anyway.
It also ignores the fact that the existence of HS2 will push up land values in that area, why on earth would an investor want to pay to build a football stadium for a club that is getting gates of 7k in its own city?
They've always shared haven't they? Well certainly from the Olympic stadium onwardsGround share with Brum. Bayern Munich and 1860 Munich ( rivals ) share the Allianz Arena on the outskirts of Munich - as an example. How far is the site from the centre of Birmingham?
If we're talking permanently, then anywhere that offers a subsidised stadium.where in the UK is better placed for a football team than Coventry?
They've always shared haven't they? Well certainly from the Olympic stadium onwards
They want to keep us going in the hope of getting some money back. Killing our club wouldn't give them much. It would solidify their losses. So they will do what they can to keep us going without cost to themselves. If we're talking permanently, then anywhere that offers a subsidised stadium.
If Rangers went pop again, there'd be one in Glasgow available... or there could be a half-decent push for Windsor Park to be ripe for a league club.
It'd take some radical re0thinking of football in this country but hey, if Rugby Union can franchise out, and if Rugby League can have a club in Toronto in its top flight...
Anyway, that's all the philosophical endthey'd only move if there was a benefit to do so in some way. If there was no benefit in terms of subsidising expansion, and no benefit in what they could get out of Coventry the city, they won't be off.
OK, they might not exist anymore... but they won't move(!)

So what happens if no deal is done at the Ricoh because Wasps continue not to talk because of ongoing legal matters and the Butts doesn't happen? I still can't see SISU spending millions building a ground that won't be theirs. The coffin dodgers next door will put up a fight. They have nothing better to do. The surrounding roads are already gridlocked on a Saturday. The local residents will put up a fight.
And I can see this being a reason for JR3. How many on here say they have the right to sort legal matters without prejudice? That certainly isn't happening ATM. And to me it is what Fisher is aiming towards with his mediation which is as usual him saying what he wants and expecting it to be done.
That's how we ended up in Northampton, everyone assumed he was talking shit and it would never actually happen.Has Fisher ever done anything for this club than trot out embarrasing lies??? Only a fool would take a word he says seriously.
I have always said that they will stay around until they get money back in some way. And the JR'S are a part of this.Right, it took some time, but it seems most now have turned from 'they are only here short term' to 'they will liquidate us by the end of the season' to 'they are not going anywhere'.
Is it a given that SISU are going to finance the BPA expansion (should it happen)? JS says he won't deal with SISU, and property investors are not hard to find. I can see CCRF finance the stadium expansion themselves and have CCFC as tenants on terms where CCFC pay rent and matchday costs but receive all matchday income as well as a share of non-matchday revenue. I think both parties will benefit from such a construction.
I can also see why the mediation is important to CCRF - they don't want to get caught out and being obstructed in the planning and building process, in fact they will need some good will from the council to help build infrastructure etc.
Or when we were going to see the plans of our new stadium in 3 weeks. That was a few years ago now and we are still waiting. That's how we ended up in Northampton, everyone assumed he was talking shit and it would never actually happen.
No. They went backwards and forwards. It's complicated. But there must have been a lot of cooperation from the city and Bayern.
Yeah, doesn't really tell you anything about how CCFC could groundshare with Birmingham at the NEC though, does it?
Hada bit of a bad thought what he might have planned for us.

Mr fishers thinking , from the efl to the fans ; the fk wits will believe anything i say (we don't lose anything until something happens )
