Guys have got to lighten up about the Wasps. With all the bad feeling Council would only have sold to SISU in extreme circumstances
Premiership rugby in Coventry is brilliant and as my mate noted "the beer's better now a rugby club is in charge"
I'd like us to own, but that's not available. But it's better than what was the situation before
I've not trawled thro the thread so if this has all been said before sorry
It was more about what they put on for the kids on matchday.
the habit includes price as well though. To a point, its all about getting the bank of mum and dad there to spend..... find actually it was good ... kids happy dad happy.... at a sporting event and can have a few beers... If people start to go to see football , they get hooked , its habit forming

Not read the whole thread but fair play to the franchise club....they're doing the right things to engage the nippers. If we're honest, our club can learn from the engagement they have with the youth of today although the stuff the JSB are seemingly doing is great.
One of the reasons we cannot do anything like that on matchdays in the Jag Hall is that Wasps won't let us have it. Although we pay rent, we don't get all the facilities.
bingo!!!How do you know we can't have the Jaguar hall?
If it's empty we could hire it.
Perhaps if we asked they might let us have it and they have the F and B.
Perhaps if we committed to the Ricoh things like bouncy castles and padded areas could be shared.
We need to stop being victims.

Are we to seriously believe that Wasps are stealing fans of us. We get about 10-15k now and we got 10-15k in the 1980's. Who was stealing the fans then???
I grew up with fuck all in this city. Now there is a football team, 2 rugby teams and Ice Hockey. Just let people enjoy themselves for Christ sake

Imagine if Northampton fans had had the backbone of a jellyfish as well.
I don't think it's a case of stealing fans Macca. In Wasps defence, what they're doing with the kids is probably something we could step up a gear and do ourselves.
I'm a vocal critic of Franchise RFC and hope for them to go bust/implode/p*ss off but with what they appear to be doing, I can only command as good marketing. I think that's what people are getting their knickers in a twist over.
Have you got the stats for the average age of rugby union fans yet?
I'll be honest...I don't for certain.
However, if they've kicked us out of the 'home' changing room and make us use a room no bigger than my front room as a players lounge, I suspect that the Jag Hall wouldn't be included in our rent.
Infact Italia, I'd put good money on it that if they got a nice enquiry for use of the Exhibition Hall on a Saturday, they'd put it on during a Cov game as opposed to a Wasps game.
Oh, and I work in the hospitality industry so I kind of know how those things work...
the habit includes price as well though.
How much to book it do you think? Our dressing room is plenty big enough. Are old one is slightly bigger so it makes sense that more people who are larger move in it.
The players lounge if its still down there was small anyhow.
We hardly pay rent so it won't be included. But we could book it like anybody else. I'm not in hospitality but even I know that.

I had a quote for a kids birthday there, so dread to think about the whole hall.
Yes I would, because I'm a city fan.I agree, but you attend with kids and clearly enjoy it, I bet its not just the football but all the associated things that it brings in terms of what the kids get out of it, memories and simply enjoying it with them.
If the price went up I bet you would naturally resist the pressure not to go because its not just the money to get in but all the other intangibles it brings.
In short you are fans and no other team will do..and you will continue to go...... whoever or however this started with you has done a great job as its spanning more than one generation.
I'd guess at least.£5-10k to hire the day?

Hasnt there always been a football and rugby team?

Who has said anything about being moral? It's people getting high and mighty and moral and fucking boring. The same people that welcome sex offenders if they know where the back of the net is

I know people who have been to wasps on free tickets, just because they were free. No passion there.
I don't doubt it will stick for a few fans, but if people are used to it being free with a fun fair, they expect it all the time dont they?
I know businesses who have used things like group on and hate it, because their customers only see their product worth the low price. Some come back, but the majority don't when they have to pay full price.
This thread shows how little people understand effective marketing and consumer related demand.
FP does - Italia as ever looks foolish and uneducated in this particular field.
What about the passion? When the Wasps player comes out does anybody know who they are?
Is it the same as 100 kids following Adam Armstrong about? Or hearing a kid say "Theres Joe Cole" and kids running to see him?
Fair play to you CC4L. Although I've vowed to never go to a Wasps game you're right. Family does come first and under the circumstances you found yourself in I'd have done exactly the same.

Just a shame you weren't saying the same about the people who put their family first to take them to Sixfields
