not suggesting anything other than you getting off your backside to help or change the Trust. Up to you if you want to do something separately. I havent changed my mind I still think it should be through the Trust

In the current set up at the Ricoh - wouldn't success for CCFC mean extra income for Wasps? As it stands they don't have to share anything with CCFC and our club has no alternative. Would be interesting if they called it Wasps stadium would it in terms of PR

Throught the same trust who welcomed Wasps with open arms and swallow every bit of Wasps PR but challenge the club on everything? Remind me again, are they the Sky Blue trust or the Wasps trust? It needs to be disbanded and started again.

Extra income how? If we as fans didn't buy anything in the ground, just bought a ticket. All ticket money is ours. If people didn't park there but used public transports or surrounding car parks (except Italias). Maybe the club could run transport? Maybe the trust could? They can call it Wasps stadium, it will always be known as the Ricoh. Think Macron stadium? Nope. It's the Reebok stadium to most people.

Last time I looked CCC, CSF, Higgs didn't run CCFC and have no direct responsibility for the safety and well being of the club which lies legally and morally first and foremost with the directors and owners of the club

I think most councils see a football club as a community priority and treat then as such.

I also think a derek Higgs led Higgs would have far more empathy that the current incumbent who married into the family.

Absolute wash and you know this. There direct actions can cause implications for the club outside of the owners powers. Think the legal clause inserted by the Higgs.

Nick - just for the record the Trust met and/or spoke to Chris Anderson (CCFC), Nick Eastwood and David Armstrong (Wasps), Paul Breed (CSF) . We have also spoken to Joe Elliott for some historic background to Higgs etc and FL for clarification over Cat 2 etc. None of these were minuted as they were not negotiations just fact finding missions. We have never put out any PR statements about the meetings - the only confusion that you seem so hung up about was a tweet from CJ during the Trust AGM that has been misinterpreted. The situation is and remains in my view, with all the available information I have garnered that there is no reason why CCFC couldn't retain a Cat 2 academy but it will not all be at the Higgs site as there will be a loss of some pitches and the building of the swimming pool will mean some lost office/classroom space. However these lost facilities can be housed elsewhere - an academy does not have to be all on one site. As I have said time and time again the only way the club will retain its academy is for all the parties to work together, bring in new partners such as Warwick Uni etc and then present a joint proposal to the FL about what they will do. All this bollocks about PR etc, not going to meetings, wanting everything in writing is just that bollocks. If the club really wants an academy then CA has to talk to CSF and Wasps and others to get it done, digging his heels in about wanting something in writing is puzzling and is simply stalling or deflecting and isn't getting the job done. All these entrentched stances from all parties are doing is making co-operation less and less likely and the demise of the Academy more and more certain. To be honest it seems to me that the way this is all going it willonly end one way - a dead academy and another raft of courtcases. Another great result for our club. If the will was there it could be saved - is the will really there?
So where does the announcement today that the new swimming pool to replace the elephant in town will be in New Union Street. So does that mean they will not lose the space

I don't buy the whole CCC, CSF and Higgs don't run CCFC. It isn't an excuse.

If CCC for example own half the Ricoh, they can also do things like try and block moves to other grounds in the city whether we believe it or not.

Other parties can cause damage to CCFC, and they have.

It is like now, you can say Wasps don't run the club but they can still cause plenty of damage. (ironically, breaking the conditions for the sale but nobody mentions those any more).

If I own an ice skating rink but not an ice hockey team for example. I have a lot of power of the team and the owners don't i? I could cause plenty of damage for them.

Yes others can cause and have caused damage.
But sadly it was started by our owners who have by far done more damage then the others put together.(moving our club away not paying rent and then saying they would be building their own Ground complete with training facilities) but I suppose everyone else is to blame for that.

suggest you read up on the rights and duties of directors.

That's what you do when running a business, you react to changing circumstances that may have been created by others. It doesn't stop you having prime duty to safe guard the business

It isn't about who caused damage, it is about who is first in line for protecting a business there is a difference

the clause inserted stops ownership or a lease any longer than 7 years, neither of which have been on offer. It doesn't stop a user agreement to book ahead 3 months much like they have for 3 years. It doesn't actually change anything

I do accept Grendels more sensible point about Local authorities. But again it doesn't change the primacy of a directors duty

with that I am off home and a break from this

I'd say the damage started a lot further back than that didn't it?

Why did you protest about Wasps? (this isn't me having a dig, I say fair play to you on every thread I can for being straight and carrying on with the moving clubs morals). Surely you must have thought that was a bit down to the council to be outside the council house?

It goes back years further and you know it. Fisher has been a disaster especially PR wise but these plans were set in motion long before CCC invited SISU to be their preferred bidder.

So why aren't people going apeshit mental at the directors of Cov Bees? Or are they? I am not 100% up with them so could be wrong!

What happens if I own that ice rink and decide one day I want to turn it into an arcade? Should the ice hockey fans then get angry at the ice hockey team's directors for either moving them to a different city or folding etc?

The damage was done by a longer lease not being issued when the stadium was built. Who was responsible for that? If the lease had been longer, there was less pressure on ACL, a lower rent for CCFC. Funny also how ACL didn't pull their finger out making more of a business until CCFC stopped paying the rent and moved. Why wasn't they doing this from the start?

The club are being cornered by all concerned because of a vendetta aginst the clubs owners. If it isn't about who caused damage, why is it always the SISU started it line?

Why did I protest against Wasps?
Because I wanted us to own it.
Sadly even if Wasps hadn't have moved in we still would not have owned it as our owners don't care.
Yes some of it was done pre Sisu but like the council there are people on here who still believe they will end up the messiahs, and everyone else should take the blame and even help them run our club.
Any way The three examples I gave were all down to Sisu no one else.

We the users of Coventry Stadium have decided to put up this petition in order to stop the planned housing development on the current site of the Coventry Stadium, Brandon. Home of the Coventry Bees Speedway Team and to many Motor Sports including: Formula One Stock Cars and virtually all other oval racing forms! We believe that the Stadiums loss would be devastating to many thousands of people who currently use the facility and also create a large hole in the leisure community in and around the Coventry area! The Stadium is also the oldest surviving Stock Car Circuit and as such should be preserved as a National Heritage site and not lost forever to another Housing estate!

Why aren't people just getting angry at the Coventry Bees directors?

Nobody on here wants SISU to be Messiahs. I have said all along anything done should be for the club, not SISU. Whether that was offering them the stadium with a good deal with some strict, watertight conditions (not like the ones they put on selling to Wasps) that would be in the club's favour. I don't want the club to get things for SISU, or to say "wow, sisu did this". It is for the club.

ACL was run by the bloke who is in charge of our council...
Exactly not saying we have a great council far from it but to blame them for all our woes is just hiding from the truth.

Yet you are persistently negative about the club. They may own the Ricoh but as said if we are successful, commercial money will increase. We will have more fans. Now those two sources may take away from Wasps. The Ricoh being associated with CCFC and not Wasps is not what they want, but it is what would happen if we got promoted this year. Someone set up something on Facebook and I'm sure people shot them down and said all efforts should be concentrated through one group? You were one who thought it should be one group? Now you suggest setting something else up?
I would say OSB is never anything but honest and always wants the best for the club he loves.

I don't see him as persistently negative at all. Just someone who cares and tries to break down all the nonsense to try and ascertain what it might all mean.

Well that's shocked me.

It seems if someone has something that you want.
When you go to ask them for it.

When they make a suggestion about how they want to go about it. You say no, play hardball and then attempt to dictate to them how they are going to help you. Saying we do it my way or it isn't happening.

They then turn round and go, sorry fella I am helping you out here it happens as I said, or you can bugger off!!!

Who would have thought!!!!

Nobody blames them for all of our woes though. That's the thing.

Why does it have to be so black or white? Why don't they get any shit for the bits they have done, along with Higgs, along with PWKH, along with CSF, along with SISU?

Joe Elliott has been a dick, he drove around taking people's shares for SISU. He wanted to close the academy last time. Scrap that though, he is a hero because he said SISU out. That is how easy it!

Mutton, acts like a dick. Says SISU out and he is a hero.

PWKH, acts like a sly dick. He he is a hero.

You make it sound as if CA has said "You are going to give me these, on my terms, at the times I say, for the price I say". Jeez, he requested some info in writing, he didn't really dictate anything did he?

No they were not, all these plans were sisu lead.
They moved us away!
They said they were building a new ground!
They said they were moving the academy!
No one else these words came out of TF mouth but the strings were pulled elsewhere. So can't even blame him for what he was lead to believe.

It is things like offering to sell the matchday income only for our OWN matches for £24m.

The Leicester owners bought their stadium for £17m.

Wolves owners bought the club for £30m with their stadium.

Things like that restrict don't they?

The trust is not fit for purpose. The way they welcomed Wasps with open arms after being so against Northampton puts them up there with Italia and his hypocrisy. I don't get the whole Wasps have no problem/don't care about CCFC. They do, massively. We are there biggest obstacle to success and establishing themselves in the city. Football is a more popular sport. If CCFC are successful, less people will be interested in Wasps. Either supporting them as fans or commercial sponsorship etc. We are competition. Established competition. Why do you think the council and everyone else are bending over backwards to accomodate Wasps? They have to be a success for the council etc not to be challenged. I can't believe we have a fan base who will not support the club regardless because of the people that own them. Manchester United fans are not massively keen on the Glazers but if the Manchester council tried shoehorning them out of stadium and academy to house Manchester City, you could bet your bottom dollar there would be outrage, even their London fans might make an appearance ;).
I didn't welcome them and where the fuck were you when they came to town? On here having a paddy?

Wasps had fuck all to do with Coventry - didn't stop them waltzing in and lording it up over everything... While CCC and CET in the background like some pantomime villians.
