Schengen countries seem to disagree. Nothing to stop anyone arriving in Portugal for example and driving anywhere else without having documents checked.
Are you sure, this is a symptom of the disease, (cuntish ISIS claim today).
Sorry disagree, raising children to believe in a made up omnipresent being is wrong. They should be told this at the same time they are told Santa isn't real, sorry if that's spoiled Christmas for some of you. I understand it is a minority who use religion to spread there own particular brand of hate but all armies are told that God is on their side before going into battle. For me children should be protected from religion until they are old enough to make up their own mind what to believe, they are far too innocent to take in the complex issues involved and far too easy to fill with a sense that their God is the only God.
Surely it is common sense that countries need to know who is entering the country anyway?
The refugees have to undergo an arduous, expensive and risky trek. I doubt whether top terrorists, or even simple but determined tossers, would bother with all that. They will already have passports, ID cards and either be resident in the EU or fly to Europe. Closing the borders won't make the slightest difference to the amount of terrorism, but would satisfy the basic racism of some people. It may even disconnect us from decent people in the M.E. who would otherwise look up to our society.

Agree but I wonder how the public view will change if there is an Equivalent attack on British soil again, I think it would be chaos
FA have announced game against France will go ahead:

looks like at least one of them came in as a "refugee" through Greece.
Nobody is saying it's every refugee are they? Just that checks need to be much tighter.Yes, he had a passport and was registered. Why didn't it set alarm bells ringing? Checked and not seen as dangerous. So much to border controls. Surprised he didn't fly in - or maybe getting a visa would have been a problem. So we are now going to blame it on refugees? We have getting on for a million crossing the borders this year.
There is nothing wrong with religion as it stands what is wrong is the persecution and violence against those who have different religious beliefs.
"Having faith as an individual is fine, but it is organsied religion where it all goes horribly wrong and people put faith in the letter of the 'law' from books that were written a thousand years ago and more."
Hit the nail on the head - particularly as all these texts were written by people anyway.
Does anyone really believe an omniscient, omnipotent and omnipresent God wants cowards to kill innocent people in his/her name?
Only an insecure, uncertain and weak being would call on humans to act in this way.
I'm 57 and for 48 of those years I've been an atheist. Mindless belief in any supernatural being is beyond me.

Really?
Seems as though Herr Soeder disagrees with you:
A member of Bavaria's regional government has called for better border controls in the wake of the Paris attacks.Bavaria's Finance Minister Markus Soeder told weekly Welt am Sonntag that Germany needs to know who is entering the country.
The newspaper quoted Soeder as saying that "the days of unchecked immigration and illegal entry can't continue. Paris changes everything."
Bavaria has been the main point of entry for hundreds of thousands of migrants coming to Germany this year.
Soeder was quoted as saying that if Germany's federal government wasn't able to secure the border "then Bavaria can take on this task."
So how does writing one's name down prevent terrorism exactly ?

Yes so many religions and they have to be right or of course they can't exist. None of the major religions we have today are the same as they were when they were founded. Jesus, Mohammed and the Buddha just wouldn't recognise the religions founded in their name

The only thing they have relevance to, and IMO is the best way to live your life, is I believe a quote from John : Love one another, as I have loved you.
The sooner the whole human race takes that on board, the sooner we grow and thrive as a race.
nothing to do with religion though - just about being civilisedThe only thing they have relevance to, and IMO is the best way to live your life, is I believe a quote from John : Love one another, as I have loved you.

We can only teach our children right from wrong and hope they change the world.
