If I am being honest I'd prefer to go up as the billy big bollocks no one else likes rather than an underdog everyone likes.

It just looks much more fun.

Completely different, one was a club legend and another is someone that not many people rate and not many want before he's even been appointed. He won't get much time from the fan base if things start not going well.
Not sure about others but any new manager has low expectations from me. Just keep us safe and do a full rebuild in the summer with hopefully some of the wasters moved on.

Rooney has set the bar so low for managers that just being able to string a couple of sentences together is seen as intelligent and articulate now.

You can cherry pick any manager's record like that. Robins got us to the play offs with 3-4 loan players in the team.

It's not cherry picking mate, that's literally his full championship record.

One season, did OK, used loans, had a big wobble.

Not sure he was actually even a head coach.

How does that fit in with deadly Doug's all new approach?

Yeah lads, I’m sure he was sat at home with the phone ringing off the hook just wanting some peace and quiet 🤣

Fuck that. We haven’t been in a relegation fight since promotion. We are a top ten side. That’s the bare minimum if they want to keep their job.

Let’s be honest, he was a caretaker manager by that point. More meaningful to scrutinise what he did at Everton and Chelsea the first time.

He managed to get Everton safe on the final day after picking them up in 16th, then got sacked cos he was in another relegation battle 😬

He lasted 18 months at Chelsea and that’s been his longest job. He may suddenly turn into a decent manager but let’s be honest that’s more hope than judgement.

We trust robins to get it right , he has before.

Frank lampard has no history of turning shit form around

It's weird that a pathetic start to the season is seen as acceptable.

In previous seasons there were at least some excuses for it (the pitch issue).

We could get to April in 2nd bottom and people would still be saying it will change.

I agree, that’s uninspiring. So focus on that instead of 11 games as a caretaker.

I don't think fans are happy with it , but as we've all found out almost all the fanbase was happy to give robins more time

Right you thick prick, that 11 game has been dealt with.

They were an absolute basket case of a team who had jacked it for the season long before Potter was sacked.

No fuck off and actually pay for your season ticket for once.

Not that it means much as a manager but isn't he in the top 1% in the world for iq or something?

I seriously doubt that mate. He's quite well educated for a footballer, but that's not a massively high bar.

Roy Hodgson can speak five languages, maybe we should go for him. 😁

I get why it's now because of the international break gives somebody more time. That's obviously if we get somebody in to make the most of that time with the players.

Christmas would have been too late I think.

I did think the wins had bought him more time though.

I did say I'm not saying it means much as a manager in the post you quoted.

One positive about lampard is that it’s another decent player for my Coventry past and present team on fifa

Thing is. If he does well and gets us up, he’ll move on at the first sniff of a more lucrative contract.
However…
He’s a smart lad, And will have a hunger to prove people wrong after his stints at Chelsea and Everton.
He would have looked at our squad, and obviously sees a squad he can work with. He’s turned down other Championship clubs.
