Least he would have a fire to prove himself after a couple of years on the shelf unlike some other managers who seemingly go through the motions. If it is Lampard, it's an extra big gamble. He doesn't have a history of success in management, or being part of a long term project he's dedicated himself to. He's an unknown quantity, who hopefully can prove himself.
What the hell's going on? Just had one poster saying he would rather shit in his hands and now you are talking about going through the motions.Least he would have a fire to prove himself after a couple of years on the shelf unlike some other managers who seemingly go through the motions.

I have no doubt if it is him, he would've taken the job to prove he can get a team promoted out of the championship and not just something to do for a paycheck, which is good and what you want.Least he would have a fire to prove himself after a couple of years on the shelf unlike some other managers who seemingly go through the motions.

Neither did Robins 7 years ago
Otis I’m lost mate? What the hell's going on? Just had one poster saying he would rather shit in his hands and now you are talking about going through the motions.
I think even you can grasp that this is a completely different situation for the club.
. The four coaches will be let go.
But we only do four year contractsWill apparently be announced at 9am tomorrow, three year contract and bringing his own staff. The four coaches will be let go.
^According to a mate who is typically pretty well-informed. Pinch of salt, as ever.
I've been very critical of the start of their time here, but will feel pretty horrible for them if they're binned not even half a year after joining. Hard to see what else could happen because Lampard will inevitably want his own people and DK isn't going to make the payroll even biggerAmazing

Absolutely no way this happens surely. If we’re open to binning off the coaches for a new manager, why didn’t we do just that and keep robins? Will apparently be announced at 9am tomorrow, three year contract and bringing his own staff. The four coaches will be let go.

On one hand Lampard on the other hand a really competent coaching team who have worked at the top of the game. Tough choices if only we could of given mark the coaching teamThat would be insane.
We’re really notAnd BTW if we do actually appoint Lampard, that is worthy of even greater mockery than Brum when they hired Rooney over Eustace. That would be any semblance of faith I once had in King gone.
Might have been demands by Lampard. Was listening to him on the overlap and seems to want certain individuals with him in his managementAbsolutely no way this happens surely. If we’re open to binning off the coaches for a new manager, why didn’t we do just that and keep robins?
John Sillett had some success with Hereford but wasn’t a person you’d have naturally thought would have bought the best seasons we’ve actually ever had - would you?
Respect opinion but big difference is position. It’s not like Doug’s sacked Robins in sixith and brought in a managers who highest position is bottom half championshipAnd BTW if we do actually appoint Lampard, that is worthy of even greater mockery than Brum when they hired Rooney over Eustace. That would be any semblance of faith I once had in King gone.

Maybe because they weren’t actually forced on Robins and he was involved in their recruitment?Absolutely no way this happens surely. If we’re open to binning off the coaches for a new manager, why didn’t we do just that and keep robins?
As a proof of concept could he have the playoff final with Derby or top four with Chelsea when they couldn’t sign players and had to use the youth teams? He won a title, and that was proof he could manage a team effectively. Lampard doesn't have that yet, although I sincerely hope he ends up being one of our greatest ever coaches, if appointed.
I think to be honest he had more say than we think. It’s one of them where if it had worked Robins would get all the credit but since it failed the blame goes to someone else.Make you wonder if it was Robins who picked the coaching team then.
I get what you're saying, but the statement when Robins was sacked was the new manager would work with the existing coaching structure at the club.Maybe because they weren’t actually forced on Robins and he was involved in their recruitment?
If you take it like for like on a season then of course, but I'm talking about Robins -> Lampard vs Eustace -> Rooney.Respect opinion but big difference is position. It’s not like Doug’s sacked Robins in sixith and brought in a managers who highest position is bottom half championship
Why????And BTW if we do actually appoint Lampard, that is worthy of even greater mockery than Brum when they hired Rooney over Eustace. That would be any semblance of faith I once had in King gone.
Again, look at what he was quoted as sayingMake you wonder if it was Robins who picked the coaching team then.
