Literally anyone who has got a job on merit and not cos of their uncle and name.
We all know what we want and what we need, and it's easy to state what boxes they must tick,
But when you look who's out there and who's likely to come here and who we could tempt/afford, it becomes a lot harder than you think.

FL has managed in the champions league, which would makes him unique for us, and apart from Lee Carsley (who was shit as England caretaker boss) I can't think of another manager that would fit DK's requirements.
(Which im guessing are, Youngish, modern approach, statically aware with decent experience and highly regarded in the game)

I dont think Lampard fits any of those other than being young.

One big issue with Frank is I don’t think he’s a head coach. Seems to get a lot of his team to do the coaching based on what over fans are saying.

As such would have to require Doug to move away from his head coach structure and have a manager with a head coach being Morris

We need a director of football and a head coach, hope they both get on better than robins and viveash finished,it’s a big call to get not 1 but 2 positions spot on, no pressure Doug

Don't know what people you know in the 'football circle ' but certainly anybody within Ibrox would tell you, that it is nonsense.

Rangers fans hated him as a manager, yes, but despite being an unbelievably arrogant and utterly bizarre character, they attest that he helped Gerrard hugely as a coach.

Interestingly Lampard’s odds are drifting and have gone from 1/3 to 4/7.

Bloomfield now clear second favourite at 7/1 followed by Carsley at 8/1 and Keane has drifted all the way out to 9/1.

Basically, even the bookies haven’t got a clue!

I've been a season ticket holder at Ibrox since I was 8 and I'm now 51 and have never spoken to a fellow Rangers fan who believes that Beale was the brains behind Gerrards successful title winning season.

lets be clear DK said FL has put a CV in nothing more - along with a host of others hopefully including Van Nistelroy
But still not professional.

If Andy Turner had reeled off a load of names and he'd said yes or no he'd have only been saying they'd put their CV in, but would be very unprofessional.

Fair enough maybe I got that wrong but Gerrard is still a shit manager and there's a reason why not one club has even entertained him apart from a Saudi club - where he's also doing terribly - since his departure from Villa.

Bloomfield is clearly interested based on his ‘I haven’t heard anything from my club’ comments. I don’t know what I think about having someone learning Championship football on the job in any case.

We don’t have any leaders among the players already. Having one as a manager seems kind of important also.

Would be a fecking disaster. Surely King not that stupid. I wonder if Carsley is a dark horse though people won't like that as it fits into the good players can't make good managers box.

I don't necessarily think we need someone that 'knows the league'. I find that a bit of an outdated standpoint to be honest.

We need someone that not only can get the most out of the current crop of players, but is able to find a system that works to their strengths and isn't trying to experiment like every game is a pre-season friendly.

Not to mention is tactically fluid and can seamlessly pivot if he feels the game isn't going our way or the opposition is stifling his Plan A.

2bf - John Eustace looks to be the stand out candidate. Seems to improve everyone he’s managed, obtainable. We’re more stable then Blackburn and has championship experience

this is what we need, a tactician and it sounds like that is what king wants

This is the guy that wanted to sell Gyökeres for 15 million, and was dying on the hill of taking the first offer that came to us. I wouldn't pay too much notice!

I’m not saying we need a Chris Wilder or Neil Warnock type, but Bloomfield has only managed in L1 with relatively recent success over not much time. Not to mention he is well established at Wycombe anyway.

He has no experience of handling the situation we’re in and no prior goodwill from the players or fans. In truth, he would match the profile of a fair number of our signings-young prospects with much to learn.

Would take Carsley in a heartbeat

Not sure. I like his style of play but managing a club compared to managing an U21 team which lets be honest it comfortably one of the best sides in the world, is chalk and cheese.

It would be a huge step up for him. The only positive is that we have a young side so in theory you'd hope he'd ideally get the most out of the current cohort.

Liam Rosenior seemed the best of those mentioned to me. The brains behind Rooney at Derby and got Hull playing some good stuff.
