Disagreed on impact on game, shouting sisu out protests, impact on players and ability to attract new managers. Conceded he may have a point on investors but may not.

He made certain basic points
1. The club statement was appropriate and had to be done. Yes this is correct. The club has a duty to prevent invasion onto the pitch during games. Failure to do so again would have severe consequences for the club. Already a fine will be forthcoming. It is unlawful and the club have to act.
2. People were frightened by the protest. He is correct on this. There were some who felt the atmosphere was intimidating. A couple near me looked visibly shaken. I didn't - I thought it was funny - but some didn't.
3. People shouldn't chant "sisu out" as its detrimental. Well, I don't see it having a negative impact. Freedom of speech providing within the law is not a problem. Players should not be distracted. I don't think stopping games is a smart move but chanting and banners go on in several venues.
4. The invasion led to the team conceding a goal. No one has a crystal ball do they so no one can answer. Delays happen - a player could have had a bad injury - the timing was unfortunate but no one knows.
Managers and owners may be put off - his opinion. Not managers I suspect at all. Potential buyers may view as negative but it's all opinion. Nothing massively controversial.
It's his view. I agree with some bits and not others. Still he attends and deserves to give an opinion on these matters without ridicule or insults - does he not?

Ah yes, because I think 3 or 4 people to 1 and going to where he lives and posting up his address is a bit unfair?

Crack on then, maybe if anybody abuses anybody and says things about going to games they should have their personal details posted and something put up by their house to show them where they live? They can then have 3 or 4 people approach them?
Bob Latchford sits on here hammering people for going to games etc, but I wouldn't want people turning up at his house about it to leave things to show him they know where he lives or 3 or 4 blokes approaching him and then wondering why he looked a bit worried. That would be unfair (Bob is an example).
Still, no doubt it's just people with their morals and principles who think it's great.

All I stated and really saying is, if you stick your head above the parapet and be controversial or try to provoke others then he be pepared to duck when negative comments or actions come back your way . Something tells me he quite enjoys the reaction, I bet he loves seeing his name on here. The guy is an attention seeker he loves being in a minority and will be always fall on the side of the lone warrior by the sounds of it.

Perhaps Mr Chambers was following on from Tim's comments in which he too drew on the fact that youngsters were upset. Can't really argue with it, but then there is generally a toxic atmosphere around the club. Parents taking their children to the ground do so in the knowledge that some idiot nearby might kick off. I might want to shout at Tim Fisher from the comfort of my seat opposite but if a young child is near me I need to account for this before deciding what level of ferocity I employ.
The point is that unless something changes you won't be able to get a season ticket or go to a game because the club will be gone. If everyone followed Pete Chambers philosophy, fans would meekly watch the club they love disappear without a peep. Like most on here I go to games, I support the team, I want to see them win. I will also join in any protests, so long as they are peaceful, even if they disrupt the games as I would like to still be going to games, with my sons, possibly with my grandchildren in 10 and 15 years time. Have you noticed that once the training ground is sold we have nothing but a golden share that has no value, players worth hardly anything if anything at all and the name CCFC.Why will the club be gone? A negative comment is a bit different to people going on about him shitting it when approached by 3 or 4 people and how ribbons were put up by his house and his address posted online.
It's amazing there isn't as much outrage at the bloke blaming season ticket holders.
It's quite funny really, just goes to show if you shout SISU out you can do what you want and anybody who disagrees is fair game. God forbid anybody gets banned from going to games for running on the pitch during a game, but say anything about SISU out and you will get your address posted online and people popping into your area to make a point and it's great.

I happen to think that this Chambers bloke was talking rubbish, as he has done in the past. Supporting the way the club is run currently is pure idiocy as it can only make things worse.
What was really stupid was his assertion that the pitch invasion cost the team a goal, as he said Sheffield didn't look like scoring. Was he watching? They had just hit the post twice and had one (or was it two?) cleared off the line. They had come back strongly late on and looked like winning it. The pitch invasion was more likely to have broken their momentum, but that reckoned without our schoolboy defending from the restart.
Chambers is, of course, entitled to his opinion, no matter how stupid. It's a good job only a tiny minority think like he does or we could end up playing on the Memorial Park in a few years.

One thing that doesn't seem to get mentioned is how the pitch invasion was done at the same time as the minute's applause for Jimmy Hill.
If it had been say 30 seconds after kickoff like the pigs were then I'd say a lot less would have issue with it.

There was no disputing that Sisu will hold onto the club for as long as they like,no disputing that they have no regard for the primary purpose of its existence, to bring joy and excitement to the people of Coventry and Warwickshire. ( yes, I know that doesn't often happen). To them our club is an object, a thing that they will hold onto for as long as they can see it being of benefit to them ( no one else), and then they will discard it. I think the protests are about the very future of this club, not about crap games, teams or managers or league position. How many months have I been saying about nopm and how it's only going to damage the club and not sisu because of the break even stuff? That's why I'm not sure why it's such a shock.
