Game management (1 Viewer)

Maybe he should have made them with the game tonight in mind?

If he was going to throw games with pre arranged subs regardless then he needs to say before hand.

I think there's a bit of an overreaction happening here , we got good players onto the pitch and one of those made a mistake that lead to a goal from their world class forward .
The bigger moan should be about us not taking chances, not subs and faking injuries

Ridiculous he should have made changes based on trying to win tonight rather than pre agreed ones that happen regardless of the game.
He isn’t trying to throw games. Why aren’t you going on about Wright and EMC missing open goals?

I do kinda agree this is something that is letting us down at the moment. Wilson is pretty good at game management - not sure about the rest of the team. But this problem comes about by not taking chances and being soft at the back. Those are more a confidence thing.

They bought fresh, full internationals on that have changed hands for millions and millions. Nothing to do with our subs. If anything we should have just pumped it into the channels in the last five but if we can’t see the positives in that it’s lunacy.

At 1-1 it was clear they were going to score again.

We should have stopped the game to kill it a bit
It wasn't at all, what the fuck are you talking about? We had the ball in their half before the goal but just gave it away. The only chances they had came from our mistakes. MVE for the first goal. Sheaf for the one that Wilson saved and their second which came from nothing. We had dropped deeper but we were defending well.

This thread is an over-reaction.

This was a game in the lesser cup competition and players were taken off with a more important league game on Saturday in mind.

We were also playing a team who were able to bring on top class internationals.

It was a sickening way to lose, but hardly warrants hand-wringing.

Never mind all this that was a great game to watch. We could have been three up before they scored. Also the atmosphere is much better with between 20000 and 25000 than an almost sell out.

Robins again, sorry but fucked us over. Do not make 3 subs at once when you need to kill time and break up the play you daft tart.

And how does that relate to this veritable army of coaches we have clogging up the dugouts? Were they responsible for the individual error? The missed chances?

Because they are on the side line with robins and were sat doing fuck all to try and see the game out. You know, coaching.

We see it every week against us.

We are too nice and polite.

As soon as they scored the second one of their players hit the deck to waste as much time as he could.

It was lack of being able to see out a game . Again.
We were better with Eccles and Rudoni on the pitch and had a better chance of seeing the game out with them on.

They are (currently, with Sheaf coming back from injury) our best midfielders.

Do you leave them on and risk fatigue at the weekend?

I probably wouldn't, tbf. It's way more important to win on Saturday than tonight.
