Just had a quick look.

The video posted about the c**t stopping cars to see if people were black was posted by somebody with the old #freepalestine and their views on what a woman is.

Wish I had looked now to see that the poster has a clear agenda so it wasn't real.

Like I said, what would the reaction be if somebody started questioning the twitter poster when they had seen a video containing disgusting, racist behaviour?

I pointed out the clear and obvious differences in policing.

There's a video of a copper saying that there's no need to do anything because the people who would have caused the trouble would now be gone and nobody is causing any problems.

I don't believe it's a directive for the police. I simply think they're scared to come down hard and be accused of racism by selective footage. They need 100% to be right, but the different approach where if they get it wrong on the far right protesters would be labelled heavy handed rather than racist. Not so much two tier as two narratives that would be reached differently. Again I'm not suggesting it's fair or right to handle it differently, but after recent events and knowing the damage it could cause by getting it wrong, I kind of understand it.

The Met themselves agreed they’re institutionally racist and they clearly won’t be the only force, so I don’t see how any difference in approach is anything apart from tactical combined with being unable to handle it. Whatever the thinking is I don’t know and everyone will have their opinion on whether it’s right or wrong, but you can hardly say that an organisation riddled with racism- in their own words- has now done an about face and have decided to get warm and cuddly with Muslims and show favouritism to them while knocking out white people.

There's another video of a group telling the police to go. They don't need them and they will sort it themselves, they went into details about the violence. (Not Birmingham)

Does that citizen journalist (is there such a thing) at any point mention there has been any violence there? He doesn't.

He just says a large group are there. When the copper says none of the people there are causing any problems, the bloke doesn't challenge him on that.

If the bloke had said there was violence and challenged the police why they weren't doing their job, then fine. But I can't see anywhere in that video where the bloke says that, that group caused the issues in the wording.

maybe- who knows. But I don’t think people are saying ‘all’ the videos are fake, are they, that’s an exaggeration.

Maybe the the plan is to contain, record & arrrest instead of inflaming things further, I don’t know.

This may be a controversial thing to suggest, but is it really such a massive shock anyway? The policing approach would be different for, say, 100 Cov fans mouthing off and 100 Millwall mouthing off. Possibly a bad example but you get my drift. Perhaps they have identified that one approach is less risky for one group than the other.

I just don’t think the hysteria around what is seen as ‘two tier policing’ is connected to being soft on them, that’s all.

I have no idea why. My guess would be they are shit scared to try and do anything. The same as when the police were too scared previously.

I'm not sure starmer can be blamed, even if his statements haven't really helped. Its not something that's just started.

I don’t see where people are ‘playing it down’, it’s horrendous- but understanding the anger and questioning things is not the same thing as being reluctant to call it out as very, very wrong, and very depressing tbf.

if you’re on about the guy getting pounced on and battered outside the pub, I would wonder why tonight of all nights he’d front up to them- brass balls, booze or stupidity, but it was no justification to get all of them jumping on him & booting him around like a football, absolutely no issue saying that if they somehow find who did that they need long sentences.

At the same time I can understand why there would be a lot of scrutiny of some of these accounts, seeing as we know that a lot are there purely to whip things up.

I don’t see what the issue is in calling things out but remaining vigilant for stuff that might be untrue, and that goes for both sides.

I saw one earlier where it said something about patriots taking their country back or the usual garbage, and it was footage from the World Cup with a pub windows going through- there is a lot out of dangerous misinformation out there.

Must admit having watched the clip a few times I did wonder why he "fronted up" to them....just stupidity i think.
Doubt the people that knocked him about will be caught,all well covered in face masks etc.

Did he front them up? I couldn't hear what was said. It could have been to explain that there were no edl in there and that they didn't want trouble but some didn't wait. In fact the guy who hit him then appeared to be the one stopping the others caulking further damage or it could've been much worse.
