It is the same discussion. It is what could be good and what could be bad.Well that’s a different discussion. But at least we’re having a conversation about competence rather than whether they were living somewhere before taking a job mostly in London.
I do think there’s a case for a two tier system of front bench MPs with national responsibilities and others with local. Are the people of Uxbridge really getting a decent local MP right now?

Seeing some of the headlines this morning is interesting. Some saying that he’s said that he will punish the Tories and some saying that he’s said that he’ll punish Labour.Brexit party making things interesting, my only worry is that they don't split the leave vote
It’s going to kill the country ect. #Communists.looks like the tories are going to steal one of Labours 'Marxist' policies already, pledging minimum wage to go up to £10.50.
The cap doffers on here must be horrified.
tbf, that seems like over scrutiny of a chat on facebook many years ago.How to make friends and influence people the Tory way Tory candidate apologises for Facebook post

The Aberdeen South MP is a far more salacious story, if you want one!
Maybe I'm hardened from years of GMK, but it doesn't really seem that bad, anyway.Social media scouring is not good for democracy IMO. Are we only going to elect people who have either got the technical know how to nuke their history or are so weird they’ve never done anything even slightly controversial online?

I can understand hardcore racism or homophobia is newsworthy, but that really did seem off the cuff. Tasteless to some, no doubt, but not worthy of scrutiny when there are far worse actions being investigated elsewhere!
I don't do social media including Farcebook. Don't need to see people I know having a meltdown, save a dog every week, look at a drink with the sea behind it, look at what someone is having for their dinner and I certainly see enough of the Brexit bullshit on here to know how biased both sides are.Social media scouring is not good for democracy IMO. I believe this. Lots of family and friends vote labour but gave UKIP a shot that time round. Many I speak to would vote Boris to finally get Brexit done, but a decent campaign from Farage would probably sway them that way. Real shame because the Labour principles are being overlooked due to the dithering around ... most think JC is a clown.Brexit Party leader Nigel Farage tells ITV: "I led Ukip into the 2015 general election. I had all the same stuff, all the same arguments. The Tory tribe screaming and shouting, 'Don't take our votes'.
"The Ukip vote took more votes from Labour than it did from the Conservatives, [David] Cameron wouldn't have even got a majority without Ukip.
"We are going to hurt the Labour Party in the most extraordinary way. We'll do it in South Wales, we'll do it in the Midlands, we'll do it in the north of England.
"Those Labour voters have been completely betrayed by the Labour Party. They are my number one target. I got those votes in 2015, I'll do it again."

The BBC headlines just write themselves.
‘Today Boris Johnson has been caught up in a scandal over Russian intelligence.... we’re asking - should Corbyn resign over this?
Don't get his angle at all - losing face Vs having buggered up Brexit by spiting the vote.Like UKIP, Brexit Ltd will take votes from both.
They won't get enough to win (m)any seats but enough to potentially affect a constituency outcome. I expect the same of LD the other way. 2015 Labour actually saw a bigger increase in percentage of voters but that was probably a mix of gaining from LD and losing to UKIP, but the same is true of the Tories.
But if all this is true why was he trying to get a pact with the Tories? He has said he doesn't like Alexander's Brexit deal, so why would he want to help them? Is he trying to butter them up now to get his harder Brexit?
Also shows the ego of the man that he chose 2015 when he was in charge for the reason they did well rather than policy, compared to 2017 when he wasn't and they fell back. Proves it's a personality cult around him. He's a snake oil salesman.

Sinn Fein not contesting some seats in Northern Ireland to get remainers in Parliament Sinn Féin won't stand in three Westminster seats This could be a game changer with regards to the number of seats required for a majority as Sinn Fein don’t take their seats.
Just carry on with your support of communist Corbyn
, just a boring old democratic socialist.
I see trade deals will involve using American English...Why are you talking about your Savior like that
I see trade deals will involve using American English...
For now.... but it’s coming. Is that a joke?
The other two parties have leaders with ziltch personalities , that's the problem.Same with me, I'm stuck between brexit party and conservative
I do like Boris and the way he goes about his business however do i trust him with Brexit???? He's had his hands tied though....
Nigel is alright but can be abit extreme
On the campaign trail, Corbyn's so, so much better, so that'll help him.The other two parties have leaders with ziltch personalities , that's the problem.
Dunno mate, think many had a Brenda moment and didn't bother. Policital discussion isn't a main topic in our ciricle, other than moaning about "what the Goverments doing now". I know nobody would have gone Lib dem as they'd already wanted to reverse the ref even back then. FWIW, historical roots and working in public sector I've always seen red ... it's a dilemma.Who did they vote for in 2017? That’s what interests me. 2015 was very different for lots of reasons (hadn’t had the referendum, no Corbyn, no BXP, etc).
If they voted Labour that’s very interesting.
False, Boris is a great campaignerOn the campaign trail, Corbyn's so, so much better, so that'll help him.
