I'm not going to comment on how 10 players can miss a ball rolling along the 6 yard line ??!!! #wtf

Not convinced by Allsop either.

I think it was Thomas who played the ball for O'Brien, not 100% on that though

Why has Tudgay lasted this long? Talk about carrying passengers! (Apologies for the negative post :) )
Thomas also been poor (while I'm at it :) ). Started well but the normal Thomas has resumed

Agree on Tudgay, looks over the hill, but Thomas has been good. Faded a bit, but certainly hasn't been poor.

The performance (especially in the 2nd half) wasn't great, but in context the result was all that mattered tonight.

Welcome home City.

PS - Now unbeaten in 6.

Some muppet in the crowd trying to hit Haynes and Johnson in the face with a green laser. Very visible on the camera :/

Reda talks like ze capitan and plays like ze capitan. I am excited about our prospects this season. What the commentators said is right. There are no big money teams in the league this season. We have every chance with this squad and the first half work ethic. The players looked liked they had the energy second half but the boss told them to sit back. I think we need to attack until 60 minutes and then sit back on a 2-0 lead not 1-0

Well impressed with young Haynes. Shame he couldn't keep the pace up all game, but he's only 18 and I'm sure he'll improve as time goes on. Deserved MoM.

Fortuitous at times with that defending but tonight I don't think anyone could've begrudged us it. Hope everybody who went enjoyed it, the atmosphere looked great!

I've seen him play worse

He looks frustrated, a bit like he knows that he can't do what he used to be able to do. Y'know, like Clinton Morrison usually did! His workrate and link-up play are reasonable, but I can't see him scoring goals.

Ha, Pressley recounting Haynes' puke moment!

A few observations - Haynes is some player, but a defender? im not so sure. The goalie fills me with no confidence and looks like a hillbilly. Reda is pretty awesome. O'Brien makes some excellent runs. Tudgay offers nothing and Thomas was diabolical.

Not in the second half, awful

Misplaced a couple of passes and caught in possession once, but otherwise some good passing and pressing. I really like his movement, especially that forward run down the right near the end. Gets forwards well now-shame he'll never be able to finish!

Great night but sadly agree on this point.

Couldn't ask for more really. A win on our return and a win in front of a big crowd. Haynes was immense, if the club have ambition we need to start holding on to players like him.

Not convinced by Allsop. I don't see the benefit of playing him as a loanee. Not seen a lot of Burge but wouldn't we be better off developing our own player? If Burge isn't good enough get rid and get someone in who is our own player.

Thomas is frustrating, it's been too long know that we've been saying he should kick on and develop. Instead he seems to have stagnated. Not sure what the answer is, don't think he'd benefit from going on loan and playing at a lower level so I guess SP just has to decide if he's worth persevering with.

The last 15 - 20 mins was very nervy. You can see why we've let in a lot of late equalisers / winners. They just seemed to run out of steam and had no real answer when they were being put under pressure. Think we need a plan b we can move to that will just ease the pressure and let us keep the ball for a bit.

All in all though job done. A great night and lets hope a lot of those who were there tonight enjoyed it enough to come back for the next game.

Your insinuating I was being purely negative when in fact there were 3 positives and 3 negatives, that's what you would call a balanced assessment.
