Draw's okay.

Certainly for those of us who know the play-offs had gone anyway

Those who thought it was still on are probably rummaging through the bathroom cabinet as we speak.

Yes but they haven't been recalled have they?

You are an idiot if you think that it's that simple to switch formation, do you honestly have no idea what goes into planning a system?

Yes not having a plan B has been a huge mistake but im not arguing with that.

Yes and we had that when everybody was fit and the team wasn't getting disrupted?

We have had 1 player go back at the end of his loan, are you saying every other loan in this league is season long? I doubt it.

Of course a pro football team should be able to be given a shout and completely switch their system. That is what a plan B is and what teams have seemed to do against us a lot this season.

Well at least we didn't lose I suppose. Hard to generate any enthusiasm for a draw when we've got from playing for automatic to play-offs to trying to stay in the top half.

Unlucky. It's a good clean sheet and sounds like we nearly won it towards the end. Mowbray out etc.
It is a shit result.
Nearly is our second name.
As for Mowbray never wished him out but ffs needs to get the players back to their best this was shit.

Not quite how it works, as he can't recreate the atmosphere in training

Well, even just getting them shooting into an open goal might be helpful at this stage just to get them used to scoring again. No it isn't a carbon copy of a match situation but they seem to be finding ever more creative ways to miss at this point.

Draws never ok I always want to win, and yes I am always the optimist.

Either that, or when we play at home they have a bet on to see who can hit the Jimmy Hill Flag first.

Yeah and then about 6/7 injuries in defence? Meaning TM has to concentrate on making sure we have solid foundation which seems to have meant we drop off going forward.
Yes as i said we should have a plan B- But you suggest we should change everything with a click of the fingers?
Teams don't change their style they tweak things, e.g. posh, pressure on Fleck and Bigi, that's not a system that's a tweak

Been there, done that, done the Plan "B" "C" and "D" and it's not that difficult to change formations. Yes it does take a lot of working out mate, but that is what training grounds are for ;)

Did you think the play offs had gone?
You really should have mentioned it Otis, don't keep these things to yourself in the future

How much time on the training ground have we had in the last 3 months? The busiest period of the season, with largely only 3/4 days between matches? It's not the same as sunday league, not the only one that has 'been there and done that' when you have done it at a league one club, with injuries to every position in defence, then come back ;)

Of course, players should be able to switch formations at the drop of a hat. In case of a sending off or an injury they need to be able to change the system.

A good manager will play the best way with the players available and against the opposition to nullify them and exploit their weaknesses. Consistently trying the same system every week is what is hurting us. Meanwhile we see teams rock up and nullify everything we have and exploit our weaknesses.

How many saves did the Gillingham keeper make?

We've now scored just 3 goals in our last 8 games.

Well he changed it today and we put in a good performance and should have won against a good team.

It's more likely that you would just use a sub and bring on a player natural to the position. but okay?
What formation and system would you use with this team then? I would say that 4-2-3-1 should get the best out of our players?
Did he not switch to 4-3-3 today? Is that not a change?

For a change I'll take a point although we could have nicked it with the two that hit the bar. Had Tudgay had more football, maybe just maybe he'd have been a little more conposed in front of goal for his chance

One of them games where either team could have nicked it and had they done so, I'd have put money on the officials having some form of influence on it as they were poor once again
