Well it wasn't a specialised lwb playing there was it? Kinda tactical no?Plenty of the goals we've conceded have been nothing to do with tactics, (the 1st Wednesday being an example).
Our issues are many and that is one of them yes. I still would have given him more time and not sacked him in the way it’s been done.If you believe this you should have no issue with a new head coach coming in
Our issues were clearly tactical this season
I’d agree with this - one thing I believe Robins is great at and I’ve pointed this out before - he’s a siege manager.Robins is a motivator, not a tactician. And he motivates the old school way, not by the mollycoddling some of our grifters prefer.
I have no agenda.ITKs who are throwing their own agendas about.
Playground stuff really
Well Shep seemed to regard his source and that's good enough for me.
I know Saddles source has an agenda so you have to bear that in mind, but like I say, he's still often correct.
Well it wasn't a specialised lwb playing there was it? Kinda tactical no?
On plus side maybe we're only tweaks away from having a good structure?I have no agenda.
Tried to articulate my post say that the re-structure, on paper, had the potential to work, and is a modern approach.
But, for various reasons, has been poorly executed, by the sounds of it due to sub-standard coaches being appointed.
Never hammered King or Roberts on here.
Thought this information may explain a few things.
I added that it made me sad to hear.
If true about the level of coaching - expect that to affect recruitment and retention of players.
Hearing this made me concerned about our football club.
Timing wasn’t right because there was every intention to show Robins the door. The phone call telling CR what DK had said was made by the performance director. I don’t know who else apart from DK was involved in the actual decision.
What it showed, in my opinion; was the disconnect between MR and DK. Why have CR at Ryton? Why did CR think it was a done deal except for discussing a pay package with DK? Only to be subsequently called and told the timing wasn’t right?
If the above is true (which there’s no reason to doubt) it’s a poisoned chalice for whoever gets the role.
Good times ahead.
You put attacking players in defensive positions it happens. A risk robins tookEveryone wanted him there based on how he played v Luton. I actually had reservations.
But that was a schoolboy error that a professional footballer shouldn't make so not really tactical.
On plus side maybe we're only tweaks away from having a good structure?
I'd love it to work.On plus side maybe we're only tweaks away from having a good structure?

He was kinda just experimenting towards end and every loss would have seen a new change
I've been there before on football manager! It never ends well

Lwb have to be defenders tooHe’s a midfielder playing in midfield have a word.
Cause as someone said at the time you can tell Doug wa shaving doubts about mark for a while and didn’t want to hire a AM he would have to sack. The phone call telling CR what DK had said was made by the performance director. I don’t know who else apart from DK was involved in the actual decision.

Someone (Saddle I think) said Sheaf was one of them. @Saddlebrains ?I'd love to know who these players are
Lwb have to be defenders too
When are you going to sober up
Why would he have doubts? I mean is seems that’s the case but last season seemed he wanted to back Robins, did something change?Cause as someone said at the time you can tell Doug wa shaving doubts about mark for a while and didn’t want to hire a AM he would have to sack.
You didn't support cov when sisu owners out of protestWhen are you going to accept you’ve been sold a pup? If someone told you the top clubs supporters all have bleached enemas you’d have a tube of dettol up your arse before they’d finished their sentence.
Clearly what everyone has been telling you is true. We’ve fucked it by appointing a load of crap coaches we can’t get rid of and in the process have completely neutered the best coaching setup outside the PL.
I would always expect a new manager to bring in his own staff. Surprising if he is not permitted to do so.and has to work with the current structureThere's a difference between being a numbskull and being promoted far above any level you've coached at before.
Which mcould be what's happened in at least 1 or 2 cases.
I think your first paragraph is wishful thinking unless the new man can bring in his own staff.
Someone (Saddle I think) said Sheaf was one of them. @Saddlebrains ?
Plus, it was stated ‘some of the new players’ and this is about the third or fourth time I’ve seen this. Take your pick.
You didn't support cov when sisu owners out of protest
Now you don't support cov without robins as manager
Why are you here? All you wanna do is complain no matter the situation
NOPM!
But there is no owner you don't hate from the get go is there?1/10 low effort.
If supporting Cov is agreeing with every decision the owners make then no I haven’t and I’m not sure many would pass your test.
2bf - you can be pissed off with the clubs decisions, but you’d still be a fan. Shmmeee can call King a c**t but I’d imagine he’ll still cheer Lampard on if he gets the job.You didn't support cov when sisu owners out of protest

Feel like he's close to that though that's all. But he's smart enough to know he can't come back from saying it publically2bf - you can be pissed off with the clubs decisions, but you’d still be a fan. Shmmeee can call King a c**t but I’d imagine he’ll still cheer Lampard on if he gets the job.
At least he hasn’t said he wants us to lose like some have. That’s bizarre behaviour
But there is no owner you don't hate from the get go is there?
Just be honest. Your still emotional at robins going. We all are. But you can't curb your bias so just chill with the posting till you can think clearly.
Log out come back Monday mate. You will be better for it.

But that's the thing your angry Doug king sacked him and convinced he's clueless and should not interfere. This would make a lot of sense if a lot of us hadn’t spent the last 18 months being worried this (and the seemingly blindingly obvious next step of a “name” coming in) would happen, and then being proved right.
I’d love it if we had an owner who could both stay out of a decent managers way and manage the off field stuff with a modicum of competence, alas here we are.
I really can’t help but aim vitriol at our ‘captain’, to be honest. Everyone will just buy into the party line that he’s ’the best midfielder in the Championship’ and the problem is, Sheaf now believes he is.It was a different ITK I believe.
I think Saddle said he wasn't the one on this occasion to relay that. I have definitely seen it said by someone else before as well though.
But that's the thing your angry Doug king sacked him and convinced he's clueless and should not interfere.
So unless he had a job for life there was no way king could do anything without you thinking he's clueless?

Injuries, complacency, poor performances and a total dearth of actual, tangible leadership qualities on the field…I just feel that he gets off very, very lightly, in this mess.
I don’t doubt his talent, it’s his application and attitude that has contributed to a great deal of the issues on-field.
