Fair play, hope he does well for Sweden and Sporting (and they flog him on with us getting a cut). Amazing strength, always gave his best, entertaining and committed. Can't remember many who got us excited when receiving the ball and still 40/50 yards from goal.

Thanks Vic for all the above and good luck to you.

I'm a little sad we're not going to see him in sky blue again, I can't remember another striker we've had like him, we've had more natural finishers, technically better strikers but I can't remember one who could occupy a whole defense on his own and still come out on top, we've been good for Vik and he's been good for us so I wish him every success in the future and here's to the hefty sell on in a couple of years

First player in a long long time, where if he was on the pitch you knew something could happen. Sorry to see him go, but it was inevitable and I wish him well.

Perhaps sentiment, but we made him a cult hero here and he had the full support of the club and SBA - so I hope we get a decent appreciation/goodbye message, or at the very least a mention, once he officially signs for Sporting.

Apparently the private jet used to fly Vik to Lisbon is due to fly to Faro later today so it’s possible he’s going to say goodbye to the lads and maybe do a bit of farewell content for the clubs social social media - would be a nice touch
I like a farewell video as much as the next guy, but seems a bit much during a climate crisis.

Going to join up with the Red Arrows after leaving Faro and fly in formation over the CBS Arena.

What is wrong with some of our fans?

I know it’s beyond weird saw another tweet saying they hope he fails…why the fuck would you want that? There could be another big pay day for us if he moves for a lot of money. Not to mention his goals literally took us to within a whisker of the prem. Wish him nothing but the best and hope he smashes it.

It's the wrong attitude but it's not weird.

He was being a prick when we wouldn't sell him for less than we thought he was worth and him and his agent trying to us a journalist to put pressure on us to sell for a lot less than we wanted was pretty cuntish.

I do hope he does well and we get a lovely sell on in a couple of years but some will think he is a twat

It is weird to want him to fail when there is literally no benefit to anyone if he does. Don’t know what satisfaction it gives anyone.

He did nothing that no other player trying to get a move to a top club would have done. Everyone has said what a good deal it is for the club which would suggest it is high for a player in the last year of his contract and I’m surprised Lisbon have paid it to be honest if what being reported is correct.

If anyone thinks he’s a twat for literally wanting to progress in his career after giving us two great seasons then that’s up to them but it makes no sense to me. There’s plenty of players done much worse than he has to get sold.

Yes this is a good deal but that is not what I was talking about, some people think he is twat not for waned to progress his career but for throwing his out the pram. We were always going to sell him, it was a bit in bad taste to try and force us to accept far less than he was worth. He got his move, he just had to wait an extra week or so.

This is basically where I stand on it.

It’s not like it was some kind of subtle conspiracy with a journalist either, for months he was telling any Swedish reporter in earshot that he wanted to move and should be allowed to go wherever he likes regardless of fee!

Its actually in our interest for him to succeed, as we'll get a hefty sell on fee.

Even without that Vik has always worked his socks of for us, and seems like a decent bloke. Apart from a few ill-judged comments the other week, he has been the model professional
