If the club demanded 18m in the summer from Boro, £25m is his current value. He is a far more complete player than last season. Saturday proved it.

£25m - assume Brighton may get £4m

At that point you would look for a loan for the rest of the season, and see how you can build a promotion team on £20m in the summer

Previously the discussion was how much would SISU allow
Surely the game has now changed that all of the proceeds could be reinvested

If they offer us £15m upfront with a decent sell on, I reckon we’d sell.

If we do, it would be bad business from our perspective.

£15m is undeniably at the low end of his value range and on the penultimate day of the window we should be demanding considerably more from a club with money and who are desperate.

Its a toxic club right now. He'll have better options now or in the summer its not in the dream move category.
Agree Everton are a massive club but just don't see the magic turnaround under Dyche - he built a Burnley team in his image yet his record there since the beginning of 2021 was:

Played 53
Won 10
Drew 17
Lost 26
PPG 0.89

As for Everton, they've been close to relegation for the last couple of years, it is not a blip. He's joining in the last knockings of the transfer window so has got to work with what he's got.
Agreed they’re not a great club atm, but compare them to us they’re still miles ahead of us.
We’re potentially homeless in 3 months time - they’re about to move into a state of the art stadium in 2 years

he’s on about 10k here he’ll be looking at 40-50k there.,

even if they go down they’ll be hot favourites to bounce straight back up, they’ve pumped in 500m in transfers recently - let’s not pretend they wouldn’t spend 10x what we do trying to get back.

if he goes down - he’ll score goals for them in this league and probably get another move after that.

Everton is always gonna be a much bigger lure than we will be regardless

no way will it be Undisclosed.

Undisclosed, keep us all guessing 🤔
Why do people struggle with this every bloody fee is undisclosed it just gets leaked.

Quality that people used to use that as a snide remark about SISU but are still doing it now even though they are not here anymore 😂😂

Just desperate to be angry about something

Both parties want it to be undisclosed as well it's worth saying.

Love it if Vik turns Everton down.
They are shit after all and pretty much guaranteed to get relegated.

If he waits till his contract expires he'd negotiate much better wages as a free signing.

If he signs a new contract - rise. If he doesn’t then we’ve 12 months to watch his value drop to 0

£25 million would be the second most expensive player ever from a Championship Club - I don't think so

Closer to £10m than £20m I reckon.
Surely if we had no intention of selling Vik, he would be sat with the club signing a new deal with improved wages?
We would all love to hold on to him but anywhere near £20m will earn him £2m plus overnight and probably quadruple his wages. Hard to turn down for a young ambitious striker who wants to play at the top level and also become a more regular pick for his country.
Decisions need to be made quick, as the longer we leave it, the more his value will come down as his current contract will not have long left.
Personally, if above £18m “sell”

We are more likely to be in the Prem than homeless next season.

Its a matter of when not if, its just now the valuation of what the club see for selling now or in the summer.

But if today if 18mill comes in i think the club will except and move him on.

Well they recently had a bid of £22 million accepted by Sheff utd for Illman Ndiaye, only for Ndiaye to turn them down.
And they just sold a player to Newcastle for £40 million plus ad ons. So they've got the money, what they havnt got is time.
If they can't match our valuation, and they dont sign another striker, then their board will be even less popular with the fans.

It's been interesting that Eccles & Wilson have signed new deals but Vik hasn't (he will have been offered a new deal I'm sure), can't knock him tbh because he's continued to put in maximum effort in every game he plays....good luck to him if he moves ( I hope he doesn't).
Robins mentioned on Saturday that he had another "plate spinning", possibly that is a replacement should Vik leave.

If he is to be sold then extract as much as physically possible. Won’t be getting a bid even close to it for some time again
