That’s not the same analogy - it’s more like in 1 years time the bank is taking your house, for £0Where did you get those figures from?
You don't sell your house under market value, and then when someone comes to view it and criticises the kitchen set up, proceed to reduce it by a further 50%.
We've got such a weak minded attitude to this transfer it is unreal.
My mates just messaged to say I've let somebody out of my back pocket on this site?
FYI Grendal don't bother trying it on again for attention as i can't see what the latest insult is as i've blocked you old boy.
Apologies everyone just needed to drive home the message again. You wont get a response again Grendal so don't bother.

you don’t sell your house for peanuts at the start but the value is reducing every day because you’re not gonna get anything in a years time.
you’ve also got to look at selling, because you need to get a new house
Pretty much fucked the day the transfer window closesHe can sign a pre contract can’t he and he’s gone
tbh, with his agent desperately pushing for a move to Sporting, I’m beginning to think there isn’t that many clubs interested at all or they’d sit and wait it outDoug is playing hardball as he should with the amount of clubs interested.
You’re a fan of the wrong sport if you want morals and loyaltyI agree and Gyokeres need's to be VERY careful on what he wants to do. Fine, sit out the last 12 months and go for a free. However, if he stays and gets a bad injury (and all players get one eventually) then he could be making a decision that is life changing for him and one that he would be crackers to risk by sitting out the last 12 months.
It works out a high risk strategy and if it was my son i'd be advising against doing such a thing. There is also a moral issue here as well. Without CCFC Gyokeres may never have been given the time and coaching to develop. He should remember this as well and give back to the club an opportunity to be rewarded financially for giving Gyokeres that platform.
Sadly some players don't have that mindset which in my book is the difference between a good honest human being to a greedy self centred reptile.
I still think he will be gone late next week once one club starts the bidding war....
Bit harsh - what makes you think Gyokeres wouldn’t have been given the platform elsewhere? Failed at Swansea but that doesn’t mean he wouldn’t have gone elsewhere.I agree and Gyokeres need's to be VERY careful on what he wants to do. Fine, sit out the last 12 months and go for a free. Same with managers. Mickey Adams turned down the chance to speak to West Brom to stay with us - worked out well for him didn't it!Bit harsh - what makes you think Gyokeres wouldn’t have been given the platform elsewhere? Failed at Swansea but that doesn’t mean he wouldn’t have gone elsewhere.
I never get these loyalty comments - clubs regularly throw footballers on the scrap heap when they’re not good enough, it’s not all a one way street

Well in that situation the house of course is worth nothing by September if you don’t sell it
Ideally Sporting up their bid to an acceptable number and he's sold quite soon, I don't like how people are souring on a player who's been an absolute revelation for us for the past two years.
The usual rhetoric "We know hes selfish anyway because he never celebrates with Godden when Godden scores"I know, it's pathetic. Got nothing but respect for Vic and absolutely gutted that he's leaving.

Michael Rose being just one example.Bit harsh - what makes you think Gyokeres wouldn’t have been given the platform elsewhere? Failed at Swansea but that doesn’t mean he wouldn’t have gone elsewhere.

Still better than GnanduilletGodden is poor

We could comfortably hold on to Vik till January without loosing his value.
Some team in the Premier league's bottom 6 will comfortably fork out 20 million if they are staring at relegation and need a goal scorer. Waiting till the end of the season is no good if your relegated by then.
This is why I think the agent is pushing hard publicly. We are led to believe that numerous clubs are interested in Vik, but have any made any serious bids or made advances to get him, no.
If Sporting are the only club pushing to sign Vik, then Cov can demand whatever they want and Sporting are at a liberty to pay it if they want the player.
Clearly the agent wants other clubs to come into the mix to secure Vik a move.
Prime real estate goes unsold all the time if it’s overpriced. There needs to be an element of realism in any sale, there’s more to the strategy here than just ‘be a chad alpha and own those virgin cucks’.It's a prime piece of real estate. It is going to sell for a top price. The value of it is not decreasing by the day either, as we are now essentially at the auction stage where we will get the most money. Maybe after the window yes, but that is very unlikely to happen. We don't need to reduce the asking price by 15 million because of it.
Honestly, the desire to cuck for a derisory offer is getting silly.
With how many players we need I’m still slightly surprised him and Dabo were not offered something as they were reasonable squad players.Michael Rose being just one example.
I don't know about Dabo but Rose turned down a new contract. The big interview in the CT was quite illuminatingWith how many players we need I’m still slightly surprised him and Dabo were not offered something as they were reasonable squad players.
Well you know my opinion on Goddens new contract but hes done alright. Not worth it, but saved us the hassle of finding someone else. I personally wouldnt want him higher than 3rd choice ST next season if we were to keep him.Godden is poor

I wouldn't risk a bet on it, but I think King isn't stupid. I wouldn't be at all surprised if one day very soon we just hear Vik is having a medical and that's the first concrete thing we hear.Ok, put your money where your mouth is.
Charity bet: Gyökeres goes for at least 20 million pounds before the end of this current transfer window.

See that would be the case if we weren’t looking like we need the money from the proceeds to build the squadIt's a prime piece of real estate. It is going to sell for a top price. Dabo you think should get a lower end Championship club if he’s not seriously crockedWith how many players we need I’m still slightly surprised him and Dabo were not offered something as they were reasonable squad players.

I haven’t said anything about him not fetching £20m - I’ve no idea really. I just mean the idea of us compromising on price comes down to more than us just being some kind of pathetic soy boy - it’s a transfer negotiation, not an arm wrestling contest.Ok, put your money where your mouth is.
