Sporting Lisbon can’t afford Gyokeres, I am shocked. A 35% sell-on value did see

I don’t know why people are panicking, there’s genuine interest in our player and someone will make a better offer than Sporting.

Is the charity bet still on? Asking for a friend…

Well, where was he? Still under contract at the club - the only player not to turn up!?

I doubt he will be back at the club again tbh

Only if you’re prepared to fight a stranger on the internet and then promote their e-book, apparently.
Think you were expected to fight in person, not on the internet.

Clearly being fed by the agent. The rhetoric has been the same for weeks, including from Vik. Hopefully we stand firm and get what we feel he is worth.
He is definitely being fed by the agent but generally out of all the twitter journalists he is very often right more than most.
Hopefully the club will get a good deal for Vik and just as importantly Vik gets the move he clearly wants, and all parties are happy. (y)

If Vik does go to Sporting as seems increasingly likely , I wish him all the very best and thank him for his magnificent service to our club.
He seems to set on moving to Portugal and who can blame him ?
Foleshill on a wet Wednesday in November could hardly compare with Estoril . Also he’s not English and whilst I’m sure he’s enjoyed his time here, emotionally it won’t be a big break for him.
if he does well it could easily mean a move to one of the really big European clubs in the not too distant future.
So,if you do go South Vik all the best and thanks. We’ll be watching your career with interest .

Will be missed but understand his motivations, given we will have a decent sell on clause I hope he does really well!!

I find the wording of his tweets about Vik strange. Last couple have been focussing on the fee being too high “despite being out of contract in 2024”.

Maybe I’m reading too much into it but I don’t think I see his other tweets using such language

Get it fucking done Doug you fanny.
How's it Dougs fault? He's likely trying to get the best value for the club. The clubs might not be meeting a fair valuation. For years, and there's been numerous instances, we've all accused the powers that be of totally underselling our players (bar Borrowdale...Still not sure how we got a fee for him...).

This default position of everything being DKs fault is a bit strange when there's numerous reasons why the delay might not be our end and we don't know all the details.

All the murmurings have been along the lines of us holding out for more money although to be fair that seems to be coming from his agent and GIMOC whose info is always negative on King.
