Ironic that just after putting up a JH statue we go back to the 3rd tier where he found us about 50 years ago.
If he hadn't found us maybe we wouldn't be having this discussion. So, stick him on the list as well.

I personally wouldn't include any manager during SISU's ownership. None of them have had a chance of achieving anything.

Ron Atkinson

Having won something with (almost) every previous club, given more money than any previous City manager, achieved nothing.

I still shudder when I think of some of the players he signed in 1995! He did buy some pretty good ones in, Noel Whelan on a relative cheap being one, but I wonder whose injury table he found Isias on when he signed him!

Gary Megson and Nicky Summerbee....... Ended the careers of Dean Emerson and Stephen Frogatt. I will never forgive them!!!!!

Gary McAllister being on there is an absolute joke.

I put him on purely for his stint as manager.............as a player he was pure class/ as a bloke he's even better/ but he was a poor manager at probably the most important point in recent history when we still had good players and parachute payments but didn't get us anywhere near going up.

He sent Mcsheffrey out on loan a few times and made him train up the memorial park with a few other who called themselves the "bomb squad"........

and constantly played players like Lee Mills &Dean Holsworth rather than the likes of Bothroyd & Macca.

It was an honour to have a player of the calibre of Gary McAllister playing for Coventry City. He was given inadequate resources to achieve anything as manager so shouldn't be judged in that regard.

Why not add Robbie Keane, Dion Dublin, Roland Nilsson, Stuart Pearce and Steve Ogrizovic onto your list ffs?!

Next year we will be playing in division 3 with players such as Clive Platt and Carl Baker starting every week. Enough said.
