Gyokeres' video felt a lot more sincere than his

I thought the same when I watched it last night Gus gave off vibes of why am I doing this again whereas Gyok looked like he wanted to. Either way he deserves his big break and we got a handy sum again. We move on.

The only issue I’ve got now I’ve slept on it, is the timing , maybe it’s just a bad coincidence?

But the night before the first home game of the season, after record season ticket sales and a possible sell out. We sell our star player, typical city I suppose 😂

My mate got his season ticket on Tuesday and since then we have lost to fucking Wimbledon and sold our best player 😂. I don’t think he’s looking forward to it today

It does make MR look like he's out of touch? More likely the club have played it late?

Heard there will be a one minute applause in the 38th minute today

Bollocks to that.

I was one of Hamer's biggest advocates here and was completely opposed to selling him at any price rather than him leave on a free. So many of our fans are have grown used to SISU's giveaway approach to selling our players and fallen into line with that approach, but DK's more hard nosed approach has got us much better deals for Gyokores and Hamer than many of those supporters thought possible, so well done DK.

Anyhow Hamer has gone, and most of us are naturally disappointed, but once today's game starts we have to forget about him, and get behind the team playing on the pitch for us. Wallowing on nostalgia for Hamer will not help the team one little bit. Let's rally round what we have!!

It’s disappointing how it’s turned out, I thought the longer it went on the more likely he was to stay, and then it feels like suddenly he’s gone. But we move on, and hopefully the money we get for him helps us build to the premier league

The lack of the new contract being signed made is more likely the nearer we got to August.

Has any one sat back and considered the fact that the bid was revealed yesterday (likely started 48 hrs previously), he was in Sheffield yesterday for his medical and did his farewell video yesterday. Even by todays standards, that was quick. Almost sounds like the move was done on turbo. And Sheffield, of all 20 Prem clubs, isn't the most favourable of them. For Gus's style of play, a move to Burnleh, Bournemouth or Forest would have been more beneficial to him.

Maybe Robins was pissed off enough to tell the club to get rid of him to the next bidder, regardless of who it was ?

It definitely seemed to happen quickly - I imagine Sheffield United were the only club that met the asking price considering they’re pretty desperate for players.
I also imagine the more established clubs will look to see how he does in the PL as they have made doubts about signing him for whatever reasons.
