Oh mate I agree, don’t know how he’d strengthen us, did he even make the bench last year?
Unless we decide to move Palmer / Allen on of course.I could see the logic of trading for McNally, who’s a known quantity and probably our top transfer target right now. But the fascination with Twine is just bizarre - are we really crying out for another tricky AM right now?
Twine would actually be a good addition but they are right in that the forum obsession is a bit weird.14 games in the championship and 3 goals
I like that lad tbfWe're in talks with Han-Noah Massengo apparently, guess he's Hamer's replacement.
I will probably need to book a couple of days off work, to get over it .This will be heartbreaking if he goes
Injured. How's Liam Walsh going now at Swansea.
Totally agree. Lose Gus and you're losing more than just another player. He's the heart beat of this side. Him and Vik dragged us into the play offs . To lose both would be bad news. We'd have to invest very wiselyKeep Hamer and build then its play offs I reckon. Lose him and I can't see it, you'd have to get the recruitment absolutely bang on. You don't get many Hamers otherwise every team in the division would have one.

Decent to be fair, still don’t think we desperately need him14 games in the championship and 3 goals
We don't but I'd rather have him than not if given the chanceDecent to be fair, still don’t think we desperately need him
I would rather have £2-3 millionWe don't but I'd rather have him than not if given the chance
Lol. More like £0.5M. When the likes of us been saying HES THE BEST MIDFIELDER In the league. (Pretty much recognised by everyone whos watchad this league)So you don't think we should sell him for £15m?
Despite the fact you were desperate to sell him for £5m last year?
I am not sure whether Sakamoto has been bought to play there. If not then yes we do, although I have no idea whether Twine is the answer.I could see the logic of trading for McNally, who’s a known quantity and probably our top transfer target right now. I’d rather have 2/3 million and invest it elsewhere than Scott twineWe don't but I'd rather have him than not if given the chance
I can see us getting £10M plus McNally on a permanent and potentially Scott Twine on loan. That would definately soften the blow.I think we’d have to spend £17-£20m ourselves to justify losing our two best players in one window.
I agree we need someone to partner Sheaf . Happy with Kelly/Eccles off the bench and part of a squad. If we get 12 million and McNally say we need to be investing half of that on two midfielders to replace him
You won't get much better for that money in that positionI’d rather have 2/3 million and invest it elsewhere than Scott twine
2 midfielders needed, a 6 and a 8I agree we need someone to partner Sheaf . Happy with Kelly/Eccles off the bench and part of a squad.
It would buy us some time.A player on loan for one season? Don’t think so, if we’re swapping players for Gus permanents only
I’d take him over no one and didn’t say I’d be completely averseYou won't get much better for that money in that position

If he doesn’t sign a contract in the next week or so he’ll be gonePretty sure Hamer will be here come October.
You were. I watched a lot him for mk and he was the best player by several milesI’d take him over no one and didn’t say I’d be completely averse
to be fair I haven’t seen him play much, but neither have the fans who are desperate to sign him
maybe I was too critical
Wishful thinking or have you heard something?Pretty sure Hamer will be here come October.

I’m hoping for and expecting 10th - would be shocked if we got top 6 again, but annoyed if we struggledIf we do lose Hamer, we probably need to relook at this season, and temper expectations.
Year in transition, hope that Leicester, Soton, Leeds go up (minimise the number of clubs with parachute payments) and then Forest, Luton and Sheff Utd come down.
We should have flexibility to spend big next summer and see if we can have a real go again
