Oh mate I agree, don’t know how he’d strengthen us, did he even make the bench last year?

14 games in the championship and 3 goals

Keep Hamer and build then its play offs I reckon. Lose him and I can't see it, you'd have to get the recruitment absolutely bang on. You don't get many Hamers otherwise every team in the division would have one.

I could see the logic of trading for McNally, who’s a known quantity and probably our top transfer target right now. But the fascination with Twine is just bizarre - are we really crying out for another tricky AM right now?
Unless we decide to move Palmer / Allen on of course.

I can’t see him signing a new contact now unfortunately, it’s gone on too long now, just hope Doug gets us a good deal.

Totally agree. Lose Gus and you're losing more than just another player. He's the heart beat of this side. Him and Vik dragged us into the play offs . To lose both would be bad news. We'd have to invest very wisely

So you don't think we should sell him for £15m?

Despite the fact you were desperate to sell him for £5m last year?
Lol. More like £0.5M. When the likes of us been saying HES THE BEST MIDFIELDER In the league. (Pretty much recognised by everyone whos watchad this league)

Guys utterly clueless. He couldnt spot or recognise talent if it hit him on the head.

Maddison/Hyam/Hamer..to name but a few. Not to mention the Manager.

One good thing is it's funny to see him squirm as players develop season after season.

Suppose who else would we take the piss out of of he wasnt here?

I am not sure whether Sakamoto has been bought to play there. If not then yes we do, although I have no idea whether Twine is the answer.

If he's not signed an extension this week I'll assume we'll selling him. I'll be gutted, but I'll trust us to reinvest enough to have a good midfield.

I think we'll struggle to match last season's points total with him and Vik gone. Might have to accept a mixed year bedding-in new players.

You won't get much better for that money in that position
I’d take him over no one and didn’t say I’d be completely averse

to be fair I haven’t seen him play much, but neither have the fans who are desperate to sign him

maybe I was too critical

Always. I dream of a team of 5 foot 6 skill merchants. (Also we don’t have one other than Palmer right now and none of our AMs score regularly like Twine)

You were. I watched a lot him for mk and he was the best player by several miles

If we do lose Hamer, we probably need to relook at this season, and temper expectations.

Year in transition, hope that Leicester, Soton, Leeds go up (minimise the number of clubs with parachute payments) and then Forest, Luton and Sheff Utd come down.

We should have flexibility to spend big next summer and see if we can have a real go again

I’m hoping for and expecting 10th - would be shocked if we got top 6 again, but annoyed if we struggled
