When he was 18 /19 he scored 20 goals in 48 games in the Swedish 2nd and 3rd tier , then after that 7 goals in 26 in the German second tier .. didn't score at Swansea then scored 41 in 110 league games here , the latter 2 seasons being exceptional .

Vik is a goalscorer and an all round top forward

There's no argument

Would obviously be gutted to lose him, but £35m for two players that cost a combined 2.5m and a year left on their contracts would be really good business by the club
Absolutely correct. We know it is highly likely his agent will be pushing like mad for massive wages, so do we cash in + player??? It is disappointing to see such a player leave but we have to trust that we would have someone lined up to replace him.

We can't replace Gus on a like- for - like basis any more than we could find a clone of Vic. But other teams outperformed us with neither of them, We just have to find similar quality and accept that we might have to play to their strengths for a while

Still think he's staying. Also think him and Vik leaving in the same window would be awful for the club no matter how much cash we got in. Ripping the spine out of a team who lets face performed pretty well. You build around those players.
