Screw our club for any penny he could? Talk about melodramatic. In your head he ran the club with the world's smallest moustache didn't he?
Do you actually read anything about him at all?
Could have taken as much money as he liked if we'd been successful, but typical of the modern type of businnesman who gets rewarded regardless of how bad they do.
Don't know about the worlds smallest moustache, but you have the World's biggest crush on a failed football chairman.
You'd rather see Ranson rip us off than us being successful.
Everyone knows that successful businessmen will find a way of putting themselves first (surprising to see you give him some kind of credit); but you have to take that with a pinch of salt. As you say yourself, that's just the way it's done these days in our dog-eat-dog impatient society. Anyone with any sense will cover their own back.
I preferred to look at his strategy for our club which was a good one but that relied on the backing of the money men for the long haul.
So? did we sign Norwood, Nimeley, Warnock or any loan player we had from a Premier League Club. Name one loan player we have ever had that we ended up signing full-time - other than Leigh Mills.
Wrexham are one league off full league status. That is absurd. Also according to my stats if you include cup games thorn still has a worse ratio anyway! What next he wins more games than any other manager on February 10th?
My question remains. Do you think having a manager with a very poor record is in any way a handicap?
I think it's fair to say he is the best manager we have had since Jimmy Hill, which goes to show some of the problems we have had with managers since then!

We were not signing Henderson et al. This is hogwash invented by Ranson. If needs be ill dig out the evidence yet again.
Dont make it sound like a chore old bean, you moaning and bein able to say 'told you so' is what you get up for.
Here is the win ratio of all League One managers;
Paulo Di Caneo 62.1
Graham Westley 50.2
Karl Robinson 48.2
Graham Turner 41.4
Gary Johnson 41.4
Gary Smith 39.7
Richard Barker 37.9
John Ward 37.6
Dean Saunders 36.9
Greg Abbott 36.3
Kieth Curle 35.8
Russell Slade 35.6
Andy Knill 34.8
Paul Dickov 30.4
Danny Wilson 30.4
Dean Smith 24.4
Michael Appleton23.5
Andy Thorn 20.8
Cant find stats for Rosler (but 67 points in a season) or Neale Cooper (got Hartlepool to play offs) and 2 clubs no manager.
So Thorn is bottom.
Told you so.
Don't get me wrong mate, you do make some valid points but there are arguments for both sides. I do think that you struggle to see both sides of the argument.
Don't think he is joking. He was saying the same thing about Thorn last season.
Whether anyone rates Thorn or not, I find it quite incredulous that the bloke could be described as our best manager since Jimmy Hill.
I just cannot see what that is based upon. Based upon the fact that Thorn said we were a midtable Championship side last season and he took us down?
Hey, I just love his approach to football - if he had decent owners and any money to spend then we would have been in the hunt for promotion last year.
And who was the last manager to get us promoted, as AT may well this year??...JH!!! Case closed.
No top 6 finish in 40 years, that's all I am saying. AT is bound to break that run of dismal failure this year.
hey give the man a chance he had no chance last season jose would.nt of kept us upYes well done. He's kept within a budget that he wasn't allowed to exceed. He is the manager that' has taken us to a level of football we have not witnessed for 50 years. He has the worst management record of any football manager of this club since 1917.
He has the worst win ratio of any manager in Division 1.
Yes hat's off to Andy thorn. If you are a Leicester fan you are doing really well.
hey give the man a chance he had no chance last season jose would.nt of kept us up

Yes. That's exactly what I'd rather see. Of course.
