I can't think of a US president that didn't have a manic foreign policy.
If it takes 3 years it will be worth it's weight in gold for generations as long as we maintain reasonable trade relations. Also thought we could just walk away and every trade link would carry on as before but without free movement and without EU laws. I think many probably thought it would be pretty simple because they believed the Leave rhetoric that the EU needs our trade more than we need there's and would be eager to do a deal.

It's always the same when the establishment gets a result they don't like. They say the system is flawed and we must change it, or the person is somehow ineligible or unsuitable and should be removed by any means possible. There are riots in the streets. The US is turning into one of those third-world countries where election results are never accepted and always challenged or ignored by the powerful elites. Trump won fair and square and he'll be President for his entire term. If you think Trump is flawed, you need to take a serious look at the Clinton's record.
Their kids go to private schools, they have private healthcare, they run large firms and can exploit cheap labour, they live in salubrious areas away from higher levels of crime.
I have to agree it's nice all round to see the Liberal establishment get a good slap. You see, the very same clique that dictate to us ordinary folk what we should do/accept/like/embrace don't ultimately pay for the side consequences and sheer cost. Their kids go to private schools, they have private healthcare, they run large firms and can exploit cheap labour, they live in salubrious areas away from higher levels of crime. It's the squeezed middle that carries the can for all of it, it's their tax receipts that pay the cost and their lives downgraded by the pressures on services and wages. This mass of economic migration is short term gain for those greedy cretins against long term cut backs and degradation for joe public.

Say what you like about Trump (and by the way he never said most of the things being quoted on here), his win was a tremendous victory for democracy because he had the entire US establishment against him, even his own Republican party did not want him. He won because of the will of the people in the States that mattered. I think he'll do a very good job. The US has been going down the toilet for years and change is badly needed.
Out of the two, I preferred it if Trump won, mainly due to that sneaky, corrupt woman running against him. If it was Obama vs Trump, I'd have preferred Obama.

May is appealing against the high court decision. Farage is calling people to march to the Supreme Court on the day of the appeal saying that people are angry and things might happen... no one is denying that leave was won by a small minority of the popular vote, and no one is denying that Hillary won the popular vote by a small majority... but Trump won the presidency- which no one is denying. I agree on "Argggghhhh"
Clinton won the popular vote, but not the presidency. I wouldn't call it a resounding victory for democracy.

Actually he didn't I checked - but 5 have. In the the uk it's not uncommon either but it's silly to cry foul all the time when results don't go your way.
If Remain won, and Clinton won, I believe there wouldn't be much noise about the small margin of "victory". It would be put to bed, and that's that.
