Cos we have no ground and no assets?

Neither did Leeds, Bradford, Stockport & im sure countless others.

It's a fantasy thats been created by Sisu that if they hadn't have come in in 2007 that the club would no longer exist. Our position is not unique, plenty of clubs have been in our position before.

Reading between the lines it looks like the plug has been pulled on Hoffman's bid.
You don't even have to read between the lines. Hoffman has stated that his investors have pulled out in the telegraph. Unless they have a change of heart or Hoffman finds new investment there will not be another bid.

I still can't beleive some people think sisu and orange ken are the only ones at fault here.
Hoffman treid to pull a fast one by getting every fan on his side and thought this would not come out.
All i can say is thank god it came out now and not later on down the line, how will he have any credability now, what a complete and utter muppet he makes sisu look good.
Hoffman really is the new dhinsa.

How on earth would he think this would not come out?

I don't think some of them understand this simple point on here. They seem to think admin and liquidation is the right way to go.

Hibbert,

First at this point in time I fully agree, its SISU who are funding us and currently without their money we are doomed. Your statement that they are keeping us afloat is correct.

When you mention the funding though, what worries me is the end of the season. With it being quite apparent that no one wishes to invest in us, what happens then?

Its been stated that after this point SISU may not further fund the club, so aside from a multi millionaire buying the club, which isnt going to happen, what will happen then apart from Admin?
In the meantime the club will have lost more money through drops in attendances due to poor performances, loss of players and no hope! and will porbaly have been relegated so worsening the position, so I guess as people feel we are going down this rocky road, they want admin now, especially as it would mean SISU lose a lot of money.

I am not saying its the right thing to do, but that may be where people are coming from, as they feel that desperate against our owners. The fact they are headed on the clubs board, by a spokesman who clearly lies through his teeth and has no empathy to the club, nor the fans riles people even more.

(Your quote that people think liquidation is the right way to go is incorrect as no one has siad that would be good and no fan would want the club to go out of existence - only my opinion of course)

Hoffman Back To Being Normal Fan

Hoffman claims deal is dead and he's now a normal fan http://www.coventrytelegraph.net/coventry-city-fc/coventry-city-fc-news/2011/08/26/revealed-why-gary-hoffman-s-investors-backed-out-of-coventry-city-takeover-92746-29312287/

Do we believe the deal is dead or is this just his poker face?

The problem i think is that Hoff wants to deal direct with SISU bypassing Tanned Ken, but Tanned Ken wants everything to go via him. I feel there's a huge clash of personalities between Hoff and Tanned Ken and Hoff is sick to death of KD continually fecking things up with leaks etc.
Once KD is bypassed then things may go on from there to more talks and a hopeful conclusion.
My opinion only ,but I prey for the fist time ever that i'm right.

Thats what I am saying how did he think he was going to get away with it? not the smartest of people if you ask me and was just trying to score some kudos with the fans, back fired on him big time.
So lets say hyperthetically here, what if he does come back in who the hell is going to belive him now???

I think it is hilarious. everyone putting their faith in another financial 'expert'. I don't know whether anyone has noticed but the entire country is f*cked because of these w*nkers and their billion pound bonuses paid to each other.

A building society manager once said to me there is only one group of people more stupid than building society people and that is bank people. He has never been proved wrong.

I suggest that all of you slagging Hoffman off might need to eat some humble pie. It has been revealed that inappropriate chasing of the investors by journalists after their details were revealed by KD has caused them to withdraw their backing of the Hoffman bid.

Yet again, disgraceful business practise by KD. This guy is bringing our club down at a rapid pace.

We need full scale protests both to voice disgust with SISU but also to appeal for the investors to come back.

I don't understand this whole sitution. SISU clearly want out and yet they scupper the only deal on the table through Orange Ken. What sort of deal are they looking for? The shares (which they got for nothing) are worth less now than when they got them and the playing staff is worth much less.

Do we know Dulux Ken scuppered the deal? who says it is him that contacted the sun. It could have been someone else who didn't want Bruce involved.

The bid 'backers' seem to have lived up to their name and backed off as soon as there was a hint of journalistic probing.

Just read SISU's statement made to Sky Sports. An interesting quote made I think:

"For the past six months a number of people outside of the club, who profess to have the Club's interests at heart, have been trying to destabilise our recovery work," the statement added.

And it appears the bid was for £1

Personally, I can not see them putting the club into administration it will not benefit any sale of the club the only thing they may gain at present is 3 or 4 pence per pound for the loans owed to SISU. The long term strategy seems to be to reduce costs to strengthen the balance sheet to limit their losses when they do go. The other things people go on about is the anonimity of investors and why they pulled out. If you look at the reaction of some of the threads on here you can see why people like to keep their names out of the limelight as they dont want the flack. The other reasons are down to business principles, if you are looking to buy something you may have to sell things to purchase that item. With the numbers involved in purchasing and then running even a basket case of a club like ours, potential investors could be having to sell things that will have consequences for employees of these companys and their suppliers down the food chain. After all how many have access to 30 million cash? I have been involved in the motor trade for over 20 years and when any purchase of a rival dealership has been made it has always been conducted with the utmost descression so that the running of the business is not effected. At the end of the day who soever released the letters to this so called journalist new exactly what the outcome would be by doing this, if he had any gumption he would let us know who or at least give us the the dialing code off the fax so we know where to place the blame. The downside to this is that any further intersted parties will not trust SISU in their dealings, players will be sold and our downward spiral will continue. You can not trust anything said by the board, ask the guys at Southampton who found out what the ORANGE ONE is capable of. PUSB

How come Hoffman was running to the papers every two seconds then?

I think you will find that the details of the bid and the withdrawal of the offer were sent to the Ken dildo and the board only, so who was it that leaked the letters to the national press. The man who lacks integrity leaked them, just to give you a clue also known as the orange man. Regardless of all this, I have no confidence in sisu running our club.

agreed admin or liquidation are just not going to happen as sisu would lose out big time

Cant see why SISU are putting us in division 3 and then hope to sell us even if the books are balanced. Were not an attractive beast in the championship so god knows who will take us on when we go down.
