I smiled at some of the negativity earlier
Everyone was playing well and we were dominating but behind to an excellent well worked goal
One day soon it's all going to click and someone will get a thrashing

I don't think there was much unnecessary negativity, other than the person that posted we need to sell Godden really.

It isn't unreasonable to expect more, and even though the late equaliser was great, it should never have come to that in the first place. That's why people are annoyed.

I know you weren’t but some are suggesting we are recently. Agree we only need a bit of quality but looking at the players I’ve listed and others in the squad I don’t know how much we’d have to pay to improve what we’ve got. See what’s around I guess

I’d definitely like to get some pace in the squad though

I think you could find another Kane-esque signing to fit in the centre of midfield, and aim for a loan to take some pressure off O'Hare in his position. CB also needs addressing but can wait till the summer.

5 goals from open play in 16 games is quality mate you are right. Really going to fire us up the league

1 goal in 3 is 15 goals a season which is a good return .. however as we all know we don't discount penalties so again , you're speaking nonsense

A lot of it is down to confidence, particularly with O'Hare. Needs a couple of flukey ones to trickle in.
Problem is he scores one, then he reverts to type. He may never improve that aspect of his game. Look at Luke Thomas.

Poor COH was getting a lot of grief
The chip was bad but if he was scoring as many as he should he'd be in the Premier League
I enjoy watching him play though

We make life a lot harder for ourselves conceding first so often. It's easier said than done but when we already struggle to break down sides who camp in their half we can't endlessly rely on last gasp goals.

Sky were oozing praise for Ward's goal but he was allowed so much time and space as were the few passes in the build up. It shouldn't be that simple.

Didn't we say that all last season and then saved it until the very last day against Millwall.!

The issue with this view though is that i'd rather win games 1-0 than thrash somebody. We seem to have reverted back to trying the walk the ball into the net again, or maybe we haven't reverted and it's just that not every shot is like gold-dust at the moment.

We also have the tendency to always concede first. I think the commentator said that's the 18th first half goal we have conceded this season, and I can't think of many where that hasn't been us going behind? We are leaving ourselves too much to do in games as it stands by going behind and then having to chase.

Wouldn't mind if it wasn't the third time he's tried it this season and done the same every time.

We were very fortunate to get a player like Kane on a free/nominal fee though. Sounds like it was more off field stuff that made him available

I think Eccles can slot in in midfield if/when fit. Agree we need a CB on summer, ideally one with pace. McFadz has been unbelievable this season (maybe even player of the year) but can’t go on forever. See how JCS goes for rest of season. If he hadn’t had those couple of mares against Swans and Luton I’d be trying to get him signed up already

The irony being there was a week this season where we took the lead in both games but only got a point.

I do agree, he's a good player and I have resisted criticising him before today. But we are now at a point where the play offs are achievable, and we have a chance to go up and we need far more consistency from him if that is going to happen. And no I don't expect us to go up this season I'd still be content with 1 point more than last year. But we aren't going to get a better chance than this season in my eyes.

The excuse about if he had end product then we wouldn't have him can only be used so much though? At some stage we as a team need to progress (have better) or he needs to progress and we sell him on as that is our model. As I say at the moment his numbers haven't really improved since league one and that isn't good enough even with the excuses used!

If we only have the funds for one position in January I'd make it in attacking midfield.

Glad they were playing at home else they might have parked the bus( tongue in cheek methinks)

No reason we can’t sign a couple of quality loans in January. A specialist 10 and an all round attacking forward must be on our list

“Best finisher [Matty Godden] at the club”

- Steve Ogrizovic.

Another one who agrees.
He is undoubtedly

I don't hate godden
I think godden personally is having a great season

To a lesser extent so did biamou last year relative to his talent

In summer tho I want to see upgrades and for me the players we should look to upgrade upon are

Shipley walker Allen Kelly godden

Not cos they r all poor and not cos they ain't having good seasons. Simply because talent wise they r not upper championship players

Allen and godden could argue that point and I hope they continue to do so. But in my opinion they would be players we being replacements in for

Now godden as a super sub? For sure keep him. But as a starter? Not for me. Not lone striker anyway. In a 2 he works much better

Gyo on form is that man, and hopefully Waggy isn't far off. Unless Joy is in a generous mood we just don't have the funds for the latter

Well I don’t know

Huddersfield are on a very poor run.

Godden was isolated and we never really worked the keeper - it was a game like last season when we started. Possession chances from set Pieces and little else

We looked better when Mastsen came on as we were much better balanced but the opposition were poor and next week will be very different

What’s the solution, do you think the manager has taken us as far as he can?

I think we looked like the team that started the season today, and very happy.

We have 12 points since the Fulham game

Bang on. It’s such a tired argument isn’t it.
