Unpopular opinion (another from me, I know, shock!) but I think Tavares is pretty decent, not the level of Wright, Simms or Godden but I think he’s pretty nimble and looks like he can score from a decent range as we saw in that Preston game. Obviously he’ll be on the bench nearly all season but don’t think we should right him off just yet, could be made into a midfielder maybe? (Just tossing the idea around, waiting for the inevitable Cov massive arse-kicking )

😂😂 Nah I just can’t buy that Oasis are better than Blur, obvs it’s all personal taste but I just find the songs cheesy these days and Gallagher’s voice is real annoying, some like that and fair enough but I can enjoy a whole album of Blur’s without skipping a song and just can’t say the same for Oasis.

Blur are Tory music

Gotta agree there. Was a massive Oasis fan but then Be Here Now came a long then it carried on going down hill. Definitely Maybe and WTSMG are great albums, and they were more of a movement than a band. However, Blur were the much better band, better musicians and better songwriters in the end when you look at their whole career. Not Britpop but Radiohead were even better. Innovative and pushing boundaries.

Yea Radiohead are good if you're using them as a form of Euthanasia

FFS are we at the level of the Sun and Mirror now? Both Oasis and Blur were great bands who released some staggering tunes. I really hate Parklife and Blur's mockney output, but Damon Albarn has proved to be a bit of a genius with his solo output. Likewise, Noel Gallacher. Enjoy a band you like, there should be no stupidly engineered competition. At home, I dress like coach from Ted Lasso. Football wise, Hull have been a bit of a bogey side lately and avoiding a loss would be acceptable.

What?! I can’t take this Blur slander 😂 They sing about everyday people and everyday scenes, literally made for the people and their best album, 13, is about heroin addiction and the mess it can lead to with relationships etc, probably about as far as you could get from Tory policy 😂

I think we have massively different views on music tbh. Radiohead are one of the most influential bands in the last 25 years and their discography is one of the most expansive and experimental in all of indie/electro/rock/alternative etc.
If you can’t appreciate Radiohead then personally I don’t think you can appreciate music.

I think that’s the point. Lyrically Blur are on a different planet. A thinking man’s band. Oasis were a stolen catchy hook band for people who like to chuck their pint in the air at England games.

Alex James is mates with David Cameron though!
Dave Rowntree is/was a Lib dem.
Don't know about Albarn and Coxon. I'd imagine they're fairly left wing.

The Beautiful South came from Hull, didn't they > (or at least Paul Heaton). Love some of their stuff. Tried to combine the match thread and music.

Another draw for me. We actually could do with starting to win soon but a draw here would be ok.

I would’ve thought Ayari will start ahead of Sakamoto. Anyone know if Da Silva and Kitching are fit enough to start?

Not saying he won't but interested to know why you think that? Ayari needs to up his work rate to be blessed with a starting role for me.

You can see from the cameos that he has the quality and footballing brain. Semi agree with you on work rate but he’s had time to bed in now and I think as soon as he’s up to speed, he’ll be a big part of our team / season.

I know Sakamoto was involved in the goal at Swansea but wasn’t in the game enough and looked like a boy playing against men at times.
