No Thomas will be a big blow.

Going to need to score 3 a game with Lati and Collins in there 😬
Just need Simms to get on his Rotherham/Maidstone shooting boots.

EMC was took off Wednesday due to his injury apparently

Torp the obvious

Thomas I don't know, just know he's injured

Our injury list currently

Dovin
Thomas
Eccles
Torp
Mason-Clark
BTA

That's a horrible amount, to decent players aswell

It's going to cost us
Others will have to step up.
Lati in for Thomas. For all his limitations on the ball he’s a better defender than Binks.

Collins
MVE Lati Kitching Dasilva
Sheaf Grimes
Saka Rudoni Wright
Simms

Still looks a capable team to me

There was a guy sat behind me that said a couple of times Thomas was struggling as he was bent over looking to the bench, at the time I assumed he was just blowing. He's the type of player who would play through a niggle and fair play to him for it, the worry is he may have aggravated something in carrying on though
Rudoni was all game too

Fans read each other's forums, and it doesn't take an Einstein to realise clubs will monitor them for this sort of thing. Hull will have planned set piece moves thinking about Thomas; how to deal with EMC....whatever. They can now adjust to target our central defence aerially, knowing Thomas is out. If I'm Hull, I'm now lumping it up to Crooks/whoever to take any advantage I've got, and tweaking my team accordingly. Had they not known, they could be playing a small player like Geldhart, leaving Crooks/lump number 2 on the bench. Like I say, this sort of thing p*sses me off, in terms of helping out your opponents, in a game so important to us. Hopefully we can cope, but still feckin' stupid on here to give them a heads up.
And lets not forget we also have a keeper who is a disaster when balls are lumped or crossed into the box so now Hull will be aiming to do this with the knowledge of Thomas being out

It's naive to think they don't. In an industry that spends millions on getting fraction of a percent improvements apparently someone looking at socials to see if anything has been spilled is beyond them.

I think it's a bit cuntish to blab this all over message boards. Hope the leaker at the Club is caught and dealt with too.

Is Thomas injured then? i thought he played to the end on Wednesday. I know Thomas Asante is injured. Are we muddling the names?

I think at this point EMC is clearly first choice, no?

I think the Sunderland game made us think Wright was the answer through the middle and Allen should be starting. Don't think games since proved that.

Simms is more effective as the battering ram which in every game except Sunderland, has been what the system we play asks of the player in that position.

EMC looked fine in most games recently but I'd have started Simms with Wright on the left tonight even if EMC was fit. Don't think he nailed his spot down.

Saddle with another double barrel disasterclass please

Yep, let's shoot ourselves in the foot and give the opposition an advantage. Highly intelligent stuff from our resident ITK.

Hanging around until 12 to see if the Luton tickets drop into the 1800+ bracket then setting off for Travelodge Hull Central.

Living the best life.

Wright out left and Simms through the middle is a change a lot of fans wanted anyway.

Thomas is a big loss, but he’s also not entirely foolproof. He’s prone to errors and poor distribution, so let’s not escalate this to feel like we’ve lost prime Maldini. Lati is a step down, but he’s a solid enough defender and he’s entirely committed so he’ll give a good account of himself.

The starting XI is more than strong enough to win and the bench isn’t as weak as made out, Allen, Paterson, Bassette and Rafa can all change games. Granted to differing degrees, but this is still a step above our play off season bench offensively.

The EMC ‘injury’ is making less sense to me as it goes on

He ran across to celebrate the Paterson winner last week, it quite clearly wasn’t done in game so what the hell have they been up to in training

Binks is also shite, Thomas be the biggest miss of the lot
bit of a limp on his way back though

Depends on opposition. If a team plays a low block and their CBs are going to be stuck on Wright like bees to honey all game then Simms needs to come in.

I know people have their reservations about Simms but Wright may as well have not been on the pitch against Portsmouth. He clearly isn't at all comfortable with the physical demands of the role which in the Championship is really a non-negotiable.

It's not particularly that mad. EMC has been poor since his return from injury. As mentioned as long as Wright stays injury free it isn't an issue.
That is not the point is it. 🙄 having any key squad player out is definitely not 'not an issue'
They aren't Robots, form and fitness is fluid, some on here treat it like a binary thing 'hes been crap today so let's write him off' such a boneheaded attitude that some on here take. .Just because EMC hasn't been at his best doesn't mean he couldn't make an impact in the games left, he was the key guy a few weeks back.

Even if by some miracle all the players left stay fit they will get tired in matches and they will dip in and out of form. Missing EMC, Thomas and Torp is a massive blow if true.

Do you actually take time to read posts first or just blurt out the first slice of fresh gibberish that comes to mind?

I didn't say it wasn't an issue. I said it wasn't a massive blow, which it isn't - certainly not compared to Thomas being out which very much is given who's next in the pecking order.

Yeah maybe it should stop. Saddle seems a sound egg, but it’s not necessary. Someone eventually will get in trouble
He is blinded by his bizarre levels of self importance. He speaks to people on here like they're his disciples. He needs to have a word with himself.

Agree, hes had this toe issue, wonder if thats just got to point of no return now.

The Thomas one is odd, must have done it training after Pompey game, as he seemed ok. Hoping this is fake news!
Thomas did go down and look like he was struggling at times against Pompey...

Big critic of Lati, because, well, he’s mostly shit.

But also, when he has been good it’s been at centre back.

I have to believe he can step in and do a decent job. He’s a committed fella and seems a good professional and I want him to do well. I’m willing him to have a man of the match performance! Step up Lats!

EMC although a loss, I think we can cope without for now.
