Proper people in charge now the council and Wasp have gone
Wonder how results will look at end of year, healthy I suspect.Proper people in charge now the council and Wasp have gone
You’re not wrong-I remember the only time I went to Birmingham was the FA cup reply (as it was an away game) and had to pick tickets up on the night. A wallpaper paste table and a women going through a box of tickets with an IPhone torch! So glad SISU never got their hands on it. While it would be great to see the football club and arena as one, SISU had no idea about investing in services to improve the ‘feel’ of things. Every £ spent was seen as a cost. Closing ticket offices, club shops etc.
The improvements at the arena would have never happened.
It's good to see the facility in the hands of owners willing to invest in it. It's in quite a state externally, but I am sure this will be addressed. The area around the CBS is also in a sorry state, but there seems to be progress here too. Construction on the new hotel starts this year, although this is not an arena led development. Even small things like tidying up the roundabout seem to be happening, a planning app is now in (see image), a minor thing, but it's a mess currently and an awful welcome for visitors. Small moves Ellie.

Another old ground yesterday that had great character and individuality but borderline unfit for purpose.
I love going to the old grounds but they aren't particularly good places to watch football. I'm not sure I'd want to go there every week.
Barely move within the concourse. Long queues for the toilets and catering. Lots of congestion going to your seat and an age to leave. View was also impeded by pillars.
Must be a quote in for exterior painting you'd expect in the near future possibly this summer!Went there just before Christmas to get a few presents and I saw some contractors jet washing the exterior structure. Small steps.
