I can't understand some people. Presumably we all know its wrong for ccfc to be playing games in Northampton? presumably we all know its wrong to support such a move?

Yet because the team is doing well they like going? That is shallow beyond anything that can be put into words.

There is at least 4 better teams that are closer than the Sixfields Sky Blues. Why not watch them if good football is all you care about?
will they be "sixfields skyblues" tomorrow, or back to being Coventry city again?

Do you realise how fucking stupid that sounds???

Personally, I go to Sixfields to support the team that I have supported for the last 32 years! I would still go if the football was shit and they were in relegation places because they are MY team!

Yes, I agree that they shouldn't be there, yes I agree that SISU have ran this club poorly but I also acknowledge that they are not PURELY responsible for this mess!

I'm looking forward to the 1st game back at the Ricoh when the attendance is 11k - 13k.... what will be your excuses for not going then??

Tomorrow they will be doing what Coventry City are meant to do. The city of Coventry is sending a football team to play against the town of Walsall in Walsall.

Next week the city of Nottingham will be sending a team to play against the city of Coventry in Northampton.

I've made the difference as clear as possible.

Surely you agree that whilst in Northampton they are Coventry City in name only?

To the OP and RFC - if you want to go, then go. No need to have a pop at those that can't or won't bring themselves to do it.

If you really believe that the vast majority of stay-away fans aren't putting pressure on our owners though, then I think that you're kidding yourself. Are you sure that you're not just telling yourself that so that you can feel a bit more comfortable about what you're doing?

Will you be happy to still be going to Northampton in, say, five years time?

Just thought I'd keep up the general consensus;
"Grandad, what were cov like that season ?"
"Dunno mate didn't go............."
'Why not ?"
"Team got moved for a season"
"So you just stopped going ?"
"Yeah"
"Why ?"
"Terrible owners at the time so me and a few lads on this forum I used to go on started this thing called Not A Penny More"
"So you didn't see any of that season ?"
"Well I went to some away games and stood outside the ground for a couple of games"
"Fair enough, so the owners crumbled and the fans got the club back ?"
"No, I just missed that season, they're still in charge now......"
Hahahahahahaha

LOL this is quite funny to be fair.

Yep, it's hilarious. As is lots of fictional comedy based on a ludicrous premise, in this case the idea that if 8,000 fans turned up at Northampton every week we'd be back in Coventry within a year through our owner's good graces.

You mean its Coventry City in name only?

Actually I'm here waiting to support the club representing my city. They left Coventry, not me.

nope I disagree.
Wherever they are they are still my team, and unless the move is a permanent one or they cease to exist this will always be the case.

No need for the lift, I live in Coventry so it should be easy enough for me to get to.

What part of the city are they playing in these days?

Glad all of those who stayed away Tuesday missed that performance, your not having any effect outside of this forum and your own head. Sisu are shit but not watching cov is worse !

I withdraw my apology i made to you two weeks ago about the new kit. You cock.

Most Coventry fans want to want a Coventry team.

With 4 or 5 lads in each and every starting line-up that are Coventry born and bred, this team represents the city of Coventry better than any side I can remember, regardless of where they're playing.

They're representing Coventry, they're not doing it in Coventry at the moment.

The fact we're playing miles away is obviously shit. You really don't need to try and dress it up with cities going to battle or anything like that.

Not even going to try and have a smartarse comeback on that one cos your 100% right. hahaha

yes they SHOULD be in Coventry I totally agree with you however, its is still the same players playing for the same team just 30 miles down the road... which however I have found easier to fucking get to that the Ricoh!!

Interesting way of looking at it.

Man City will soon be changing their name to Manchester Ciudad soon I suspect then with 4 Spanish players in the squad.

That is the whole basis of the game of football.

In the middle ages one Village would compete against another in trying to get a pigs bladder to a designated point.

They didn't have broadband internet then in order to make laboured points, so you're going to have to pick an era and commit to it.

Actually disagree with this competeley. The interest in the first game back at the Ricoh will be huge, I'd expect a gate in the high 20k's
