If CCFC doesn't return to Ricoh this summer... (2 Viewers)

Since SISU decided to move us away, I have not spent £1 on anything CCFC related. It will remain this way until they bring us home.

I don't care who would receive MY money if they return to Coventry, they would get it either way (SISU or not), I want CCFC back home. Can it be any simpler than that??

I have resisted all home and aways game thus far, and will remain to do so until the above.

Am I a lesser fan than you's because of this? because now I resort to the radio and the internet all things CCFC related?

Does it fuck!!

I'm CITY TILL I DIE!!!

Who's going to change that for me?

No-one.

According to some you are a lesser fan because you dont live in Cov, Sorry!!

Totally agree, 500 yards or 50 miles away I can't see a phoenix team working. For those that want local football there's Sphinx, if enough people got behind them they might even consider moving someone like the Butts in a few years time. The way Nuneaton are going they could be playing league football, might attract a few lapsed City supporters who live over that side of the city.

We have the population to make this work but not the passion but that could change if the club was located outside of Cov on a permanent basis. If we moved back to the Ricoh, attendances would spike initially then drop to the usual drab 10-12k, the usual excuses would come back out about 'not going up to watch that rubbish' etc and the cycle continues. We just dont have a large passionate fan base otherwise a credible Phoenix club would have been established already.

Still support how could I not.
Will do just the same as this season, only go to away games. never to Sixfields.
I want us in Coventry, albeit, I do nt like the Ricoh with the stupid parking restrictions.
I d attend if we came into the Coventry area, within reason of "area" of course.

OK, let's imagine that City did build their own stadium, say just over the boundary and returned. Would people still stop following them as they say on here and form a phoenix team? Coventry has shown in the past it doesn't have enthusiasm for one team nevermind two. What would happen?

Well, ignoring the fact that no stadium will ever be built - There would be a divided fan base undoubtedly, and the balance of support would weigh more heavily in favour of the pheonix team for every mile outside the boundary of Coventry SISU built their mythical tin-pot shed.

I'm not sure about that, I think we'd have to see. If was about supporting anyone but "SISU" then people would be going to Cov United or Sphinx. As for the stadium, I'm inclined to agree, but most (me included) didn't think they'd move out of the Ricoh.

Can those who are actually saying they're going to go, you know, ACTUALLY do it and also cease posting on here? Thanks.

There's only so many times I can read the exact same post about how you're all the greatest fans in the world and supported us since we were called Singers FC and how you feel suicidal about our plight.

Much to the annoyance of many, me and my lad will go wherever they happen to be next season.

got a season ticket this year but if we're still away from the Ricoh next season, i'll stick to away games

I will always support CCFC for as long as the club exists BUT at the moment all that consists of is checking for the results and going to the odd away game. I won't go to Northampton on principle and thats not going to change.

It's not easy to support the team when I live so far away and the current situation doesnt make it any easier. If we are still playing outside of Cov next season then I think my involvement with the club will be further eroded. Quite frankly at the moment id rather go and pay £3 to watch my local non-league side. I don't get the same enjoyment as i do watching Cov but they are an honest and well run little club that deserve some success.

Can you not post your pompous stuck up comments ?
It's asking about next season but don't let that stop your silly devisive comments.

This thread is an ideal opportunity for Sisu to gauge the further decline if it runs into next season.
Are you seriously stupid enough to want fans to stop supporting ?

Don't know. When I get to it I'll let Italia know first. Obviously there's none as important as anonymous people on a forum.

What would be your breaking point? 3 years in Northampton, extension to 5, more than 5?

Is this your new catchphrase -- bit like "Shut That Door?"

Oh no yours is - "I'm not going to be around much longer"

e Understand Supporters Stadium Frustrations - Fisher

Fisher On New Stadium
Coventry City CEO Tim Fisher has said he understands the supporters frustrations over the new stadium.
Writing in his programme notes for the Carlisle United game, Mr Fisher wrote: "Progress is being made on the new stadium, although, it is still too early to make any announcements regarding the site. We simply do not want PR noise to affect commercial decisions.
"We are taking very sound advice from internationally, renowned property consultants CBRE and it would not make sense to make public the sites we are looking at until deals are signed, sealed and delivered.
"Of course, we understand that supporters want to know where the stadium is going to be and how long it will take to build.
TimFisher_22-09-2012_11-40-16.JPG

"i know for some - probably most - it won't be anything more than a "PR" exercise until they see evidence of location and timescales etc.
"That is completely understandable but we would not be spending that much time, effort and money and working with consultants, to bring this project forward just for the publicity especially when most people say they will only believe it when they see it anyway.
"But our intentions and plans are very real, and as i said last summer when I talked about ground-share, it's not a case of brinksmanship or filibustering, the club comes first and we have to protect its future. Many accused me of bluffing but clearly i wasn't. Sadly, reality tells you we were taking the necessary steps to protect the cub.
"Owning our own stadium, the revenue streams it brings in and the community benefits it offers are all essential to the future stability and success of Coventry City."

Of course not. I'm also not stupid enough to "make stuff up" to suit my own agenda when posting on here. When I have ever said I want fans to "stop supporting". I'm merely asking for those who constantly come out with this bollocks to actually do it. I'm not the one making them make that decision. I'm just so terribly bored of reading how everyone has quit/given up, yet continue to post nonsense on this board day after day.

"I've given up supporting City but I'm still going to post about them day in day out", read it out loud, whilst looking at a mirror. Ridiculous. It just reeks of cringey attention seeking.

This thread, every thread, I'm sure if SISU wanted gauge whats going to happen next season, they've already got a clear enough idea.

Oh yes, of course. I forgot. You're outta here, aren't you? Please do drop in from time to time though and make up stuff I've said.

I won't be here.

Will look in on Grendel, RFC and yourself occasionally to see how long you can keep the faith.

italiahorse won't leave this place, he's far too devoted to whinging about Coventry City at every possible opportunity.

Dig out a post where I have winged about Coventry City, unless you count Sisu as Coventry City?

Waiting ..........................

Don't flatter yourself into thinking I care enough to go through your post history, I've got paint to watch dry.

Look, you're giving up on CCFC at the end of the season if we don't return to the Ricoh, that's fine, you're a better fan than I am. In turn I'm guessing that'll mean an end to posting on here for you? I'm sure your contributions will be missed. God speed.

Don't you need to quote some fact before you accuse someone of making it up.
You do know that everything Grendel tells you is not true, even if it's only pillow talk?

For the record I have never stopped supporting CCFC.
I only now go to half the away games but interest is waning. Even the games I don't attend I am not fussed about listening on the radio if I've got something else to do.
It's a slow process of withdrawal but I can sit back and let it happen, like you, or I can say what I will do if Sisu do not bring us quickly back to Coventry in a vain attempt to influence them.

But any power this threat has is lost considering you've made it numerous times already and just extended the deadline, surely.

And what a roaring success whatever actions you have taken so far have been.

All hail italiahorse, single handedly helping drag us back to the Ricoh, be sure to thank him and remember that SISU come on here especially to see if his 'Copy and Paste; function on his computer is still working.
