Definitely won't be getting an ST, reckon the crowd would drop to as low as 3,000 - 4000 for night games (there were 5 midweek league games last season). If we are doing well 7,000 -10,000 for Saturday games but could go to 5,000 if we are in a relegation scrap.

a 5,000 crowd in St andrews would be souless.

As other grounds go it is the best option for Cov. Right side of Birmingham with plenty of parking near the ground. I expect there will be a football special to aderley Park for every game. can handle bigger crowds if we are on a promotion charge. Downsides the thought of there being more Wolves fans at our home game than Cov fans also a recipe for hooligan heaven coventry and wolves playing together in birmingham.

If we go to Brum I'm not giving up on the club will just go a lot less, live in Cov it has always been convenient, inconvenient and a poor quality team in a relegation scrap just less likely to give up the extra 2 hours getting to and from Brum.

It would have wider implications, than just the club, the club leaving the city would seriously harm the city's economy, even if it is only 10K gates on a saturday, thats 10K people not going to coventry on a saturday any more and spending money on buses taxis, in shops extra.....

I understand the club have a duty to find a venue, rightly or wrongly they need a place to play, on the other hand the council and acl being hard ball could in the end destroy everything!

We can only hope come May 16th we have a way forward!

I don't know anyone who is prepared to go anywhere else other than the Ricoh personally.
A move to another ground in another town/city is the final nail I fear.

Getting SISU out of the club and playing home matches at the Ricoh Arena, seems a sure fire way for Coventry City to sell season tickets in greater numbers.

City had over five thousand season ticket holders for the season which finished yesterday with the 2-2 draw at Notts County, but according to those who responded to the question "Are You Planning On Buying A Coventry City Season Ticket?" in a poll on this site, worryingly for the club, supporters will not get a ticket unless the club meets certain criteria

Just under 40% of those who responded to the poll, said they would only buy a season ticket if owners SISU were gone.

21.2% said they would only buy a season ticket if City were playing home matches at the Ricoh Arena.

Only 6.7% said they would buy a season ticket regardless against 14.6% who said that they had had enough of the soap opera that Coventry City off the pitch has become.

Those who cannot make enough gamesor live too far away for it to be practical to have a season ticket accounted for 10.6%.

2.1% said they would only buy a season ticket if City were out of administration with 2.6% saying they would only buy one if there was no transfer embargo.or signing were made.

Price did not seem to be an issue with only 3.7% say they would only buy if the prices were affordable or increased.

10,000 only if we are top of the league, I think 5-6,000 is more realistic, there will be some reasonable away crowds
Wolves, Walsall, Brizzol Port vale gillingham MK dons, blades if they don't make it

There is a strong rumour that it is St andrews.

They would open up the main stand 5,000 seats and the away stand and that will probably be it.

For x number of yrs on every other Saturday people have travelled into Coventry to watch the football, in doing so have spent money in the local economy, decent example would be the casino, taxis, buses, shops extra who live off football fans visiting on a Saturday wouldn't any more if the club leaves! There's a bigger picture than just the council vs sisu!

Do you think an increase in ticket price may cover this.

I reckon a smaller venue over subscribed would suit their profile and charge more for less.

Wouldn't suprise me.Can't understand if we did move.can't pay our rent but are happy to put money into another club.If we move from the ricoh were finished.

I wouldn't mind St Andrews should we HAVE to play elsewhere as a TEMPORARY measure. Far better than any other venue mentioned and also the nearest. St Andrews isn't a bad ground and to be honest, from South Warwickshire probably no further away than the Ricoh !

Exactly.There is no reason why leaving the ricoh is any benefit to the club.Its all a rumour anyway.If they agreed a deal for the last 3 games something will be in place for the start of next season.pay as you play.

City aren't getting 2k for away games this season! Considering in effect if they went to the blues every game would be an away game, how can anyone expect much more than this? Do sisu seriously believe the fans are going to follow the team outside of coventry? If they do then they seriously under-estimate the fans.

Brighton's ground was sold by their owners for retail development and was thus unavailable. Our ground will always be there and it's total fecking lunacy not to use it.

It makes absolutely no sense at all to shift the club even temporarily to somewhere like Birmingham-what's the point when we have a perfectly good ground already there? If it actually happens it will be the death of the club.
