I can't see it'll be anywhere other than the Ricoh. Maybe PH4 will have worked his stuff by then?
WHAT! Birmingham is considered to be a Coventry conabation?F.A. says you cannot leave the conabation your in. as mentioned, to prevent the MK situation happening again.
if not the ricoh birmingham would be the only real choice.

And then we'll be back to that "good luck getting planning permission from CCC for a new football stadium in Coventry" scenario!

I've heard of Conor Thomas, but who's this Conor Bation fella?
If Coventry City play in Northampton or anywhere else miles away from our historical home then I admit I will no longer support Coventry City. A new stadium may take many years to build if it happens at all and as far as I'm concerned the clue as to why I support Coventry City is in the name. I know I'll be accused of not being a real fan but after being a season ticket holder for the best part of 30 years I would argue that I've earned the right to choose where I watch my team...and that will always be Coventry whoever that team is. I know there will be many others that feel the same way...whatever the rights and wrongs of this...ACL's fault...SISU's fault..whoever... the important thing is we remain COVENTRY City....
agree there del boy we are and always should be coventry lets stay in coventry
And you'd trust sisu to do that? Has the last 5 years not taught you anything? That 'rule' applies to any permanent relocation - in which case Birmingham, as a separate urban conurbation, would not be allowed.
A temporary relocation outside of the immediate locality, as I understand it, would be allowed on the basis that it could be demonstrated that the club had definite plans to move back within a specified time frame.

bleedin egg chasers i'd rather play at butlin roadNorthampton Rugby club is apparently who they've been talking to in the past week.
Where did I say I would trust them? I was merely explaining what I understand to be the FL's position on relocating.

Sisu to build a new stadium? That would cost money would it not? Sisu don't spend money; they use other peoples.Brighton moved out of Brighton for 2 years 1997-99 when they ground shared with Gillingham, whilst their stadium was being built, so there may be a precedent if sisu were planning on building a new stadium.

If they seriously intended to that then they would have got on with it by now. They would not be pursuing action against the Council over the restructuring of the ACL loan.Sisu to build a new stadium? That would cost money would it not? Sisu don't spend money; they use other peoples.
I heard this rumour as well.
They'd use other people's to build a stadium.
It won't happen but someone needs to get this club a long lease with all revenue and ownership of ACL or we should look elsewhere to play.

And then what happened. They ended up in the Withdean Stadium for the best part of a decade. The 4th worst stadium in the country.
