The sanctimonious drivel spoken on here is wearing me down.

Lets get a few things straight;

Sixfields is a poor ground compared to the Ricoh.

The atmosphere is terrible. It's at best a reserve game when people used to go to reserve games.

All fans who go do not support sisu or "the plan" (whatever that is) just the team over the 90 minutes they are there.

The game being played out will be played our regardless of attendees. The fact players are being signed at least indicates the club has a 2 year future. I lament the day we ever moved into the infernal arena and sold the one asset we had but we must have 2 years. I hope they are in coventry and not sixfields but either way I'm going to as many games as I can.

The team needs supporting. Nothing, NOTHING will change the stance of both sides in this war.

If people go and want to protest then do so but apathy and casual ambivalence is no longer an acceptable argument as isn't nopm.

130 years of history isn't going to be flushed away if people want to continue the support.

No more threads about those going to sixfields - let's let bygones be bygones.

It doesn't ensure we have a 2 year future at all...I would anticipate we have but there are no guarantees! Go to Sixfields to 'support the lads' if you want but don't be offended if those that feel your attendance there is prolonging our exile away from our city don't agree with you that nothing NOTHING will change the stance of both sides in this war.

Can get my head round most of that, but where you say they don't support SISU or "the plan", then why haven't there been some protests? Even if it were a few banners? Perhaps apathy applies to those who attend and not just those that stay away? Without protesting attendance alone does seem to support the move to Northampton?

You know as well as I do building a new stadium is not a viable option. Negotiating a deal at a realistic price for a realistic return is a viable option and achievable.

Attendance at Sixfields will change nothing and prolong nothing... the income generated/lost is small change... its very much the small picture.

Question.

Would you help with a protest in Northampton? I would if one were organised I could get behind (and yes, I suppose I could organise it myself).

But the sit back and let other people organise things is something we're all guilty of really, isn't it. letsallsingtogether may be as annoying as fuck with a whistle, but he does have a point that many of us have sat back.

That applies to Sixfields too. Not sure we can complain about no protests in there unless we're prepared to do it ourselves.

I have never really had a problem with those that go to Sixfields but with the personal threats I have had (not on this site) I have become more militant in my stance.

I am not a hard man as some try to portray me on here. I am just your average CCFC Supporter who desperately wants to watch his Team but not in some shit ground away from our City.

So if not going will flush 130 years of history down the drain don't blame the stay a ways blame the owners.

SISU OUT Whistles to the ready.

I am happy to let Bygones be bygones lets see if the OP will do the same?

However I will not

It's as stupid to blame someone for not going to a football game for this as someone who does. Total idiocy.

We can argue who's to blame everywhere else, but none of *us* asked for this.

I agree with you Samo...for me though it's less about the income and more about the statement it makes....even just for 1 game...1 half...half an hour. It would send out an unprecedented message that despite our differing approaches to handling a grave situation not of our making we can at least stand united for once.

I don't think anyone blames the 'stayaways' other than for their persecution of the attendees. I personally don't attend but only because it does not feel like the right thing to do, not because I believe it will achieve anything. so... 130 years of history... lets all march together.

Sorry cannot.

Boycott Northampton, it's a disgrace Coventry City are playing there based purely on commercial strategies.

Zero or less than 200 crowds , would induce some action surely and make SISU totally untenable.

Everyone who went one give it a try. Not going to games is hard for me as I can imagine it is for the other 15k pre SISU regulars.

Not a new topic but the key topic .

I did, however, wonder what Labovitch thought when he sat down... and then the story unfurled about where he watched games, his wife's line of work...

fact is supporting the team is one thing , but in 5 years time ,not one of those players will be here, not the manager, and I doubt very much if any of the coaches will be here only the longest suffering fans in English football will remain. no one can justify going to northampton.

It's not all about revenue, it's the publicity and becoming totally "blown out".

A bit like the Berlin wall and apartheid, eventually common sense takes over. You can't beat the people in the end.

Yeah I know the analogy is OVER THE TOP, but do you get my drift?

IIRC there were 3 ladies on 2 separate occasions and someone (torch if IIRC) posted up some fix football fliers around the ground at one game only for someone else to take them down, presumably they didn't have the correct fire certificates

Other than that I don't recall anything from the "home" crowd. Didn't some away supporter's do something in the away end though?

Lets hope those who don't feel an empty ground apart from away fans will make a massive statement. Will at least carry some take city home signs with them.
